This is kind of hard to handle. I took the tape off that was around the unit as I like the look better without the tape; however, then one has to hold the glass in place to turn it on so it is rather cumbersome either way. Pretty when on - it will do for his year.
It is pretty and it was suppose to be a gift. I am disappointed in how small it is. It looked well packaged in styrofoam inside a box. When I opened it the wooden base was soaking wet! It smelled musty/moldy. I have cleaned it up and will sand it and reseal the base. Not giving it as a gift.
