Ener-g is Egg-celent! Without the egg ;)

CJG211 June 2, 2015

My baby has a severe egg allergy and this is the most easy to use product....the local grocer stopped selling it and replaced with Red Mill....not sure how good/bad Red Mill is but I noticed it's made in a plant that processes peanut/tree nuts. Not sure if my baby has a nut allergy so I'm sticking with ener-g. This works very well in box mixes for muffins (assuming your child isn't allergic to other ingredients). I will continue to buy online in bulk if necessary vs taking my chances with another product.

Works

I hate eggs so I use this in all recipes that call for eggs! No one has ever noticed.

Useless, but then again, I didn't read the box!

Gretchen May 10, 2020

Contrary to my assumption, this is not a shelf stable egg powder. My bad. It is in fact, a 'replacer', and a yucky one at that. Their Bad. Why they are labeled 'Ener-G ' is beyond me. There is literally nothing nutritive in the box.. no calories, no protein, no taste. .. simply a chemistry set for making sticky goo. Why bother?
