Very practical!
The bistro infrared table works well on our boat to take the chill off on a cool evening. It's excellent because of the table top that we use all the time, even when not using the heater itself! It would work best in an enclosed area out of strong wind.

I'm Impressed, real industrial look.
I got this table a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. It is good quality and very sturdy. Easy to assemble and throws some good heat. I haven't put it outside yet but will when the weather is a bit better. In the winter, I think I will use it in my sunporch. This would be ideal for a veranda.

Good Heater but…
Got this heater for my wife three or four years ago. She uses it on our 10x12 porch in the winter evenings while smoking a cigarette. Have had to repair it about once a season, mostly replacing the switches. This year the element lost too much resistance and burned up some wires. Replacing instead of repairing this year. Never imagined she would have missed it so much. Much more expensive this go around…

Go with gas if you actually care about warmth.
Kind of gimmicky. The heating element doesn't put out that much warmth and it can't be directed. The light is weak and just shines straight up. The large cord coming out of the base is kind of ugly too so maybe it's better to go with gas. It was easy to put together and has pretty study construction.
