About a year ago I found out that Walmart sells genuine AC Delco parts. Since then I've also learned that their prices are better than any competitor I can find on the net - even Rock Auto with their 5% repeat customer discount. Rock Auto has an extensive data base to help you find what you're looking for, but if you can locate your exact part number, Walmart always seems to have a better deal. As for this specific OEM radiator cap, I can't say anything bad about it. My 16 year old/120K mile radiator cap seemed to work OK, but I replaced it anyway because it had a little corrosion on the inside. This, despite the car having been changed with regular Dexcool coolant several times through the life of the car. So if the GM Dexcool coolant allowed the radiator cap to start corroding, you have to ask, WHY? My guess is that at some point in the past I mixed it 50/50 with hard tap water, instead of distilled water. That's just a theory though, I have no proof of it. It certainly wouldn't hurt to pay a dollar extra to mix your coolant with distilled water, so you don't have any extraneous minerals running around in your cooling system. I can tell you that a tow truck driver told me that cooling system failures is one of his top money makers, so to me it would seem like spending less than $10 for a new radiator cap is a great way to help ensure the reliability of your old car. Now I'm wondering if a significant amount of corrosion is down inside my radiator, and how much life it has in it.
Nothing to dislike. Its OEM, marked correctly (unlike some aftermarket) and has two gaskets/seals. Works as advertised.
Fast shipping and good product
Better than the one i had before. I lost the original and this hold firmly.
