Normally, my pre-surgery routine is stop eating and drinking at midnight before surgery. When I get the the hospital, my veins are non-existent for IV and I am very nauseas due to lack of fluid and nutrition. This time around my physician said to drink one before bed and one two hours before surgery. This made all the difference for me when I arrived at pre-op. They got the IV on first stick and no nausea or hunger. Order early, it pretty much has to be ordered online. Walmart has the best price for sure.

This was a requirement pre-surgery and I was happy Walmart carried it (I had checked a pharmacy and a large grocery store but they didn't have any) . The drink actually tastes good and I think it helped offset any hunger during the fasting period before my operation.

This product 5 stars Ensure pre surgery drink works wonders. I've had surgeries in the past and felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Not this go around! Had a hysterectomy and came out of it feeling great. Energy levels were good, no nausea or vomiting, was able to eat a few hours after moved out of recovery. This gave me the carbohydrates I needed to get back to myself. Definitely recommend for any pre surgery. Side note: talk to your surgeon prior to purchase every one is different when it comes to planning surgery. On another note: the strawberry taste was good. Definitely recommend you put in the fridge prior to drinking.

I had this drink prior to my surgery, and the taste was great, and I believe it helped me with recovery from anesthesia. I would recommend drinking this!

So much SUGAR! It was okay but I could've had a cinnamon roll. Since I am pretty much sugar-free I could barely force myself to drink this because of the carbs. Why not make a version with stevia or other sugar sub like monkfruit? Reading the ingredients I couldn't find a reason the Dr wanted me to drink this every day for a week prior to surgery. I didn't call to ask because it took 8 miserable months to get a surgery date. All medical people are so very busy due to Covidiots dying in droves due to their selfish stupidity. I knew they existed but I had no idea so many Americans are not so ignorant. They're really getting what it means to love their country. Perhaps they think "country" means "not the city"?

Did not deliver to address given, delivered to a bar not a mobile home, there's a big difference. Had I not seen driver across the street I would not have known to look for my package. It was a " pre- surgery drink". Especially when it's hailing and storming outside right now!

This item was late and it was all busted apart.

Need another flavor - my husband us ha ibg surgery and is supposed yo drink this but he hates the taste of anything strawberry. Plus some people are allergic to strawberry.
