This will be one of my all-time favorites. What a great movie! The last 30 seconds really get you...

sci-fi, but plausable
if einstein was right about time travel, this could be believable. as it is, it is very entertaining and a fun flick

The Final Countdown
The only problem with the movie is that it is DVD (they didn't offer Blue Ray) and it won't play in our blue ray player. Fortunately we still have DVD players also. It played fine in that.. My husband said since it is an old movie It has a different format. We have other old movies that play fine in the blue ray player but they weren't recorded in this format.

Mixed reviews
Bought this for my dad, who had seen it years ago and wanted to see it again. I tried to watch it with him, but had to give up on it after about 45 minutes. It is a slow moving film, with too many shots of planes landing/taking off and lots of talking. Hoped it would be better since it had an interesting plot premise and good actors like Kirk Douglas and Charles Durning, but I was just too bored to stay with it. My dad, however, enjoyed it as much as when he originally saw it. It would have been more reasonable at $7 or less; the $12+ price tag was a bit steep for this mediocre film in DVD format.

It's a "Full Screen " version which no one wants or checks for anymore. REALLY disappointing
