My old ones had broken coating and bare wires are visible, due to bending when I store in pocket. Nowadays earbud headphones don't come with phones anymore. One good things is that there is a adjustable volume slider so you can keep loud volume on the phone while adjust it independently with this earbud. The cord doesn't feel smooth.
