Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W Wireless Desktop Color Duplex Receipt and Document Scanner with Receipt Management and PDF Software for PC and Mac, Touchscreen and Auto Document Feeder (ADF)

Love this scanner for the two sided option! It has greatly shortened a potentially long, long archival project. Easy to use and nothing can't beat the speed of the copy and processing the duplicated digital file.

I have been using my regular scanner/printer but every tax season was just cumbersome until I purchased the rapidreceipt. It is easy to set up and so fast. Love it! Cuts out so much of my time scanning things in.

SO FAR DOES WHAT I SPECT BUT THERE ARE COMPLAINS: IF I NEED TO SCAN DIFERENT SIZES, PAPER WIDTH, I AM FORCED TO DO IT IN VARIOUS STEPS DEPENDING ON HOW MANY DIFERENT SIZES ARE THERE. THERE IS NLY ONE SET OF INPUT TRAY EDGE GUIDES, SO IF I HAVE A 3" WIDTH RECEIPT AND ANOTHER THAT IS TWO INCHES, I HAVE TO DO IT IN TWO STEPS INSTEAD OF SET BOTH IN THE INPUT TRAY WITH THE CORRESPONDING GUIDES ADJUSTED TO THE DIFERENT SIZES.

I bought it expressly for being able to transfer the information into my QuickBooks data. It seems that it will. only transfer to the cloud and not to the desktop versions and even if it could, it still would be less labor to simply enter the info directly the same as I have been doing since 1989.

The machine is good but has too many flaws in the programming. The biggest is the document feed setting. If there is a post it on the paper, it sets of the "alarm" and you have to stop, go into settings , turn of the DFS and the go back to the scanner and start it back up. Then when it comes to another post it or an envelope, it sets off the same alarm again in the same batch of papers! In other words, turning off the DFS only works for 1 document. You have to repeat the same procedure every time it detects an envelope or a post card or a post it or anything it perceives as a document misfeed. That was enough to make me send it back. I was ready to kill it after just a few stacks of legal docs. Another issue is it will not feed a stack of receipts unless they are flattened, straightened and so on. Sorry but the ad is not honest in that respect. Epson is on to a good thing. The rate of scan and ocr to text is amazing but the physical function still needs work.

BOUGHT 3 WEEKS AGO FOR THE ACCOUNTING PROGRAM WHICH CAME WITH IT AND IT TELLS ME IT IS SAVED IN A PREVIOUS VERSION CAN'T OPEN IT AND TECH SUPPORT WAS NO HELP TO ME AT ALL.

From everything I saw about the Epson RapidReceipt, it seemed like it would be so easy almost like plug & play but it's anything but that. It isn't a simple set up there are things to download and apps to pay for to make it work like the advertisement shows it does. I still can't figure out how to make it work in QuickBooks and the preexisting data I have in there. So far all it wants to do is add everything like it's a new account or separate account. It does scan a lot of stuff at once. That part is true.

The scanner ships wit very little support and the website is horrible. I have had it for a month now and have not been able to use it yet. Absolute waste of money.

I bought this a few weeks ago and am disappointed that it doesn't organize or get the right information off the recipe. I have to constantly go back and correct the information

This doesn't do what I expected it to. It definitely doesn't do what the commercials say it does. You cannot search or sort once receipts are scanned in. Opening a saved file in Excel requires a Phd. If you import them into Quickbooks it adds them to your check register and you can't attach them to the transaction imported from your bank so you have to constantly edit your checkbook. Honestly its more work than the time I thought I was going to save.
