It is a fantastic scanner solution that might feel like a lightweight but delivers solid powerhouse results. It's quick accurate and easy and fun to install, setup and operate. I am glad I spent the money to get an independent scanning device that can feed documents. Scanned 2000 pages since I bought it and not one misfeed or error. 300dpi and so quick. Even 600 dpi is speedy. Way better than depending on a multi-use 3 in 1 solution that I debated.
I have used this scanner for 4 months and I have been very happy with my choice. I scan many documents of all different sizes at a time and have had no issues. It scans very quickly. Having the ability to scan both sides is a plus. I would recommend this scanner.
The best, fastest and reliable scanner I ever had. The software provided with the ES-400 is excellent, loaded with features for all my scanning jobs. The quality and speed of scans are great and the two no side scanning makes the ES-400 even more versatile. I love this scanner and would recommend to everyone o
Bought this scanner about a month ago and I've made good use of it since. It's perfect for scanning double sided documents, and it's very fast. Haven't had any problems with it to date. When documents get jammed, clearing the jam and resuming the scan job from the point of the jam is easy. It scans business card reliably too. Did I mention that it's very fast. For loose receipts you can either tape them to a regular sized piece of paper or you can simply buy a flat bed scanner. I bought a separate Perfection V39. Both scanners work with Document Capture Pro without a problem.
I have had mine about a month, and I've scanned in boxes of paper. It handles papers of any size, from small receipts to large legal documents. The single scan duplex scanning makes it very fast. And the real power is the Epson Smart Scan software, which makes it easy to edit the scanned document before saving to a dozen different formats and locations. Complete package if you have a lot of documents you want to digitize. And the compact size means it fits on your desktop.
Purchased in December when old scanner failed. The Epson is fast and clear quality. Wish I had this years ago.
Bought for scanning some personal documents and to digitally archive some older documents. The unit has worked flawlessly and is fast. The software (Epson ScanSmart) has a few snags but I have been still able to obtain acceptable results.
I bought this scanner to scan printed medical documents prior shredding. It works really well; also when a staple was missed, it stopped on time before damaging the unit. It allows me to continue after correcting the problem. Very happy with the results.
I work in a GP's office and my boss has recently purchased me the WorkForce ES-400 Duplex Document Scanner. I do a lot of scanning of different documents here and this scanner is excellent for all types. It has increased my productivity significantly and I can't imagine working without this.
This is great for scanning documents. Letters, bills, invoices, etc. Pros: - It is SUPER fast - great document feeder - nice, easy-to-use interface - awesome compact size. Cons: - the picture quality is kind of bland. Not too many adjustments available. Standard contrast is pretty high, colours are oversaturated. As I said, it's great for documents, (black-and-white mostly), not so great where the colour is important. - it would be great if the document thickness could be adjustable. If I have 2-3 stapled pages, and if I only need to scan the top page, I cannot feed them altogether. It results in a paper jam. I need to remove the staple, scan the top page, and re-staple them together. - USB connection only (no wifi) As I said a great, quick little document scanner. I'd buy it again. Just don't expect too much from it. But it works as intended.
