Equate 1.3-Gallon Warm Mist Humidifier

As a musician, I have thousands of dollars worth of wooden instruments. This humidifier works to protect my investments very well. Sure, I could buy something more expensive and technically "better", but this thing just simply works. There is upkeep, and regular filling required, all expected, and pretty simple. I have had 2 of this model now and one quit after many many hours of constant use. I feel I definitely got my money's worth out of it.

I love this humidifier. This humidifier wasn't my first option but it honestly has been the best one that I have ever purchased. It last 10 hours on high which is amazing because my babies are sick and I need it to run all night without worries that it will run out of water and burn out. And it comes with a brush so you could clean it out properly.

My daughter suggested this particular humidifier while I have been sick with sinus cold and horrible coughing non stop. It is amazing! First night I slept no coughing! All you do is ad water. So darn easy. Quiet while running on first speed plus I like the green glow at night for a night light!

This unit is my all-time favorite humidifier for winter! Unpopular opinion time: warm air humidifier are fantastic for winter because they make you feel warm. I tried a cool air one, and promptly trashed it within 2 weeks. Got this one, and haven't looked back since! The gasket likes to wear out every few years so I purchase a new one, but it's so cheap that I don't care. If you're injured or weak, the top filling function is marvelous - I can carry over a pitcher to fill it up incrementally, and for someone with an arm injury, that's wonderful! That means I don't have to carry a full unit (which is painful) to and from the faucet. I simply full up my small pitcher %26 go back and forth a few times until the unit is full. If you're able-bodied like my spouse, that probably isn't a concern for you. The unit can last anywhere from 12 to 24 hours, depending on which setting you put it on. Worth every penny!

I prefer warm mist humidifiers over ultrasonic ones. I like that they boil the water, which means they don't develop mildew inside (though they still build up mineral scale). They also don't interfere with my air purifiers the way some ultrasonic models do. There aren't many warm mist humidifiers on the market right now (not counting dual models with both warm and cool, which I suspect might not actually work the same way as a water boiling one). Of the five or so warm-only options, this Equate model is the largest available, but also the least expensive. It is also the only top-fill model. Basically it wins in every category. It looks nice and works great. If you have ever read that warm humidifiers are quieter than cool ones, that is definitely incorrect in my experience. The fans in cool humidifiers are very quiet, but warm mist humidifiers always make significant water boiling noise. This model is no exception, but it is just the nature of the beast. I sleep with a bedside fan on, which mostly covers the noise from the humidifier.

My old Honeywell just finally said nope. This new Equate humidifier works very well and puts out a bit more steam than my old one. My apartment is cold and the warm mist helps soften that cold. I like it. And the constant sound of mist coming from the humidifier helps put me to sleep. It is easy to disassemble and clean. I noticed that it is wuite efficient at cleaning all the calcium deposits from the water and needs a vinegar bath already. But, I expected it as our water is very hard. I ma now ordering the white vinegar to clean it so I cannot say yet how effective it is but I am sure it will work well because it worked well in my old one. I had ordered a vicks vaporizer however it was substituted with this which really isn't the same price point or same thing what so ever I also purchased the vaporizer liquid which can't be used with this machine . it doesn't dispurse the scent of the little Vicks pads .. if your looking for a humidifier it does the job .. actually so much so that it ruined my wood dresser from moisture damage

I tried this when my other humidifier stopped working. I like the warm steam that comes out, but I goes straight up out of the machine, unlike my previous one which sent the stem diagonally, so that I could both feel the mist on my face as well as breathe it in. This model doesn't allow that, and I haven't noticed it helping my breathing or overall moisture in my living room. I'm sending it back asap.

Worked for 10 days. Now reset light keeps coming on and unit stops steaming. Have to unplug unit and let it sit for a few minutes to get reset light to go out and for unit to steam again. Cleaned unit thoroughly, but no help. .

Worked one time. Second night went to fill it shut it off fill the tank put the tank on turned it on reset light was on shut it off unplugged it reset the tank plug plugged it back in turned it on reset light on. Follow directions looked up videos to get it going to get it working again have to send it back
