I have been using this shampoo a long time. I love the way it makes my silver hair shiny. I do first wash with regular shampoo them second shampoo with the Equate for Blonde and Silver. It really makes a big difference in the shine.

Great for platinum blondes! Other purple shampoos are too strong and turn my hair purple. I've never had it happen with this shampoo. It keeps my hair perfectly toned. I don't even have to rush to rinse it out, afraid that my hair will be purple if I don't. It's so mild that you could use it everyday. (However, I still wouldn't recommend doing so since these types of shampoos are known to dry hair out.) And, of course, I love the price!

My short hair has been gray for many years and I use a curling iron daily to style it. As you may know this styling method tends to cause gray hair to become brassy looking. The use of “purple” shampoo helps get rid of the brassy tones. Luckily I found Equate made a very reasonably priced purple shampoo that gets rid of the brassiness, leaving my gray hair sparkling. Thanks again Walmart for providing another great product for those of us on a budget!

I used other brands of purple shampoo was looking for something that cost less. I tried this and am pleased to say I like better than the other brands Ive used. I only need a small amount and it has lots of lather!!

This is an inexpensive shampoo for blonde and gray/white hair. It works as well as more expensive brands at a fraction of the price. Hair stays soft and smooth.

I have used a plethora of different "purple" or "toning" shampoo brands and this one really gives great results for a very reasonable price. My hair looks great and my wallet is happy.

Shampoo works great. Using regularly prevents yellowing. Hair texture is nice…not gummy feeling. Shampoo lathers nicely and the bottle lasts a long time. Very good value for the money. Some purple shampoos make my head itch….this one does not.

The only major complaint that I have for this product is its smell. It dissipates after awhile but it makes me just a tad nauseous so I get out of the shower and into an unsteamed area quickly. I have both the shampoo and conditioner but have hardly ever used the conditioner for dual reasons. The smell and it's not as conditioning as my deep conditioner which is a different brand

I needed something to keep the yellowing out of my bleached highlighted hair, and this product does as it promises. It is a thick shampoo and purple in color. However, the smell is pungent and long lasting. I use this product in between washings ,about 2ce a month, to hinder yellowing, it is worth the money.

This shampoo has a strong and persistent artificial floral scent. Since it arrived spilled into the plastic bag to contain it in shipping, my husband and I both had to clean the bottle under a stream of water to remove the mess and were then unable to get the smell off of our hands - even after repeated washings. My husband finally resorted to washing his hands with alcohol, and even that did not remove the odor. I experienced sneezing and headache pain from the experience. If you are at all sensitive to scents, I recommend you avoid this item.
