I've used epsom salt for years to relieve achey muscles. It can be used as a laxative and even as a mild disinfectant( the unscented varieties). I'm a big fan of a nice hot bath at the end of a long day… a little music, a little epsom salt and it's relaxation time. I've used a common Brand name product for years, but decided to give the cheaper Equate brand a try. Now, I've have mixed feelings about the Equate brand. Some of the products have been comparable to the brand name stuff, while others ( mostly food products) have fallen short. I don't mind paying a bit more for a superior product, but if the cheap/store brand is the same as the Brand name stuff, why would you spend more? Gotta cut back where ya can…Especially when gas is over $5 a gallon. So, I was pleasantly surprised with the Equate brand epsom salt. This was my first time getting one with a fragrance. The soothing lavender was a nice touch- not too heavy of a scent, and I think it added a bit of aromatherapy to my bath. This brand contains the same ingredients; the salt ( magnesium sulfate) and then the fragrance. The equate brand also states that it may contain traces of almond, for some reason. I'm assuming it's processed near where almonds are? But since this particular fragrances epsom salt shouldn't be ingested, that shouldn't be problematic for those sensitive to nuts. Just don't eat the salt. The packaging also gives instructions to add the epsom salt to your favorite body wash or soap to make a skin exfoliant. I have yet to try that, but it's on my to-do list! Overall, This product is as good as any other I've tried. Epsom salt is epsom salt. It does the trick.
I love these bath salts. They smell great. They are small little crystals so they dissolve fast and you don't have to feel like you are sitting on sand. I use them in my bath and also for my kids. I use them after a day where I am feeling achy and it seems to help soothe the muscles. It also leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturized. We all love them!
Occasionally, I soak my aching feet in this epsom salt after a long day. The lavender scent is light and lovely. Very relaxing. I've also used it as an exfoliant mixed with unscented hand soap. It is gentle and effective. I can only imagine how nice it would be to soak in a warm tub for 20 minutes. Unfortunately, that luxury doesn't fit into my life! Living in a very humid environment, I appreciate the resealable bag. I expect 3 lbs will last me a while.
I wish I could offer you a scratch and sniff button so you could smell these lovely lavender bath salts. The scent is soothing and relaxing. These are great for just soaking in the tub or when you have overdone it and your muscles are tired and achy. The grains are small and dissolve quickly, they are white in color so you don't have to worry about staining your tub. These look great in a clear jar in your bathroom or the bag has a zip shut. Excellent item.
I love these epsom salts for soaking my feet before bed after being on them all day. My feet feel a lot better after and the lavender scent is very relaxing. My skin rinses clean after, theres no oily feeling left over when I'm done. I get quite a few uses out of a bag since I use them in a foot bath. These are a must for sore, tired feet.
I love this lavender soak! I am a nurse and my feet take a beating! I have been using this product on my feet ever since I opened the bag! At least a few days a week! And I always look forward to it! It smells amazing and it really makes a difference on my horribly sore feet! The product is high quality and soothes my sore muscles and my dry hard skin on my feet. It makes my feet feel like heaven! I soak in very warm water with this lavender soak submerged for 10-15 minutes. The crystals dissolve well, and it's easy to use for multiple uses! It's amazing! I highly recommend!!
Who doesn't like a warm, calming bath after a long day of work to soothe tired muscles? I sure know that I do! I've been a fan of Epsom salt in baths for years but never took the opportunity to try those with added lavender scent. As soon as I opened the bag, my room was filled (and I mean filled) with fragrance. I expected just a super mild, artificial lavender scent but boy was I wrong. You could probably put a small bowl full of this in your windowsill with the window cracked and fill your entire room with lavender scent for days. Obviously when you put the 2 cups in your bath, the scent isn't quite as strong but it's still very present. Though it really has no effect on use, this salt is quite finely ground compared to what I'm used to. And it doesn't clump like many I've used. If you're looking for a more affordable alternative to the more name brand products, you'll hit the jackpot with this for sure!
Equate Soothing Lavender Epsom Salt Bath Soak smells heavenly, even hours after your bath, leaves my skin feeling soft & smooth. Even though these qualities are definitely enough to continue using it what I truly love & appreciate the most is after working in my garden most of the day it eases my sore & aching muscles, no more muscle spasms interrupting my sleep!! It's a must-have!!!
I found that Equate Soothing Lavender Epsom Salt does do what it claims (see photo). I used as directed and did find the bath water gently fragrant and soothing. I will say that I wasn't sure about the hygienic aspect of just using Epsom Salt for a bath, so I did add in some liquid soap once the salts had dissolved. For 5 stars, I'd like to see a bubble bath version.
This product is exactly what it says, epsom salts. The lavendar smell is a little chemically-smelling in the bag but okay in the bath. Soft, like you'd expect from epsom salts. The bag I'm sure is 3 lb like it states but provides room for scooping. Does not come with a scooper. The issue I have is the velcro to close the bag does not close well at all so I have it in a ziplock bag and if it spills then it'll be a mess.
