I recently ordered the wrong "deep clean glide" it was shredding between my tight teeth. I ended up tossing all of it and decided to try the floss due to the excellent reviews! It has not let me down! It is simply the best floss I've ever used on my teeth!!! Even at the dentist they get their floss stuck in my teeth! I am thinking to recommend this floss to them, I am beside myself that it took me this long to find this. No shred, fits beautifully between teeth (first one!) 2 packs and excellent price Thank you!
Most dental flosses break apart in your teeth. This does not. It is strong, flexible, and does an excellent job eliminating food caught in my teeth and does not bleed my gums. It also costs much less than comparable products from bigger companies like Oral-B. I highly recommend it!!
I really enjoy the Equate Extra Comfort Dental Floss, because it does not shred between my teeth. The floss glides comfortably between my teeth without scratching up my gums to the point of bleeding. This is the only floss I use, unless I get something similar when I see my dentist.
Got this floss to replace the Oral B Glide floss that has changed its composition and is essentially unusable. This is pretty comparable, it's smooth and comfortable for the most part, sometimes it can get stuck in tight areas. It does tend to tear with some fringed edges at times and sometimes the dispenser separates and the floss goes off the rails, literally. But I've learned how to manage both those problems enough to be happy with it.
Impossible to use, cannot actually grip it! The floss slips. The dispenser also is poorly designed, the floss falls out of dispenser hole and through a seam in the plastic. Disappointed because Equate products are usually very good.
HORRIBLE!!!!! This used to be my favorite floss, been using it for years, but they have changed it. It's wider than it used to be and does not "glide" in between the teeth as it should. Absolute garbage. If you have tight places or crowns, DO NOT purchase this floss!
I need to use several feet of this floss to keep it securely on my fingers, but it still slips and loosens. Additionally, it shreds and breaks easily. I had hoped that the store brand, despite offering less floss for a higher price, would have better quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case. What a waste of $6!
In short, this floss is crap. Stick to the name brand. No mint whatsoever. None. Stretchy material (WHY?!?!), too thin, made my gums bleed, next to impossible to get the new roll started. And such a hassle to return even though we are a W household. Thorough disappointment.
The quality of this product has unfortunately gone down. I agree with the recent reviews saying the same thing. I have no problem with a product changing when the change is actually an improvement, but this is not a positive change. The material now feels like cheap plastic and is not comfortable to use at all. It honestly feels like the company is cutting corners to save money, but the quality difference is extremely noticeable to consumers. I used to buy this product all the time, but I don't see myself continuing to purchase it if this is the new standard. Lowering the quality may save money short-term, but it can also cause loyal customers to stop buying altogether. Very disappointing.
I bought based on online recommendations that this floss is a good alternative to the reformulated, and now inferior, OralB Comfort Glide. It is not a good replacement. The floss is very thin and difficult to use--nothing like the discontinued OralB. I bought a three pack and threw all of them into the trash.
