I've bought this Equate shave gel a couple of times now. Overall, I've been satisfied with it. It doesn't smell quite as nice as some name brands, but it provides a good lather and a smooth shave. My main complaint is that I've had getting all the product out of the can. I feel like I left 10-20% of the gel in the first can I bought. I've only shaved 3 times using my current can and it now only comes out as a trickle. When I shake the can I can tell there is still plenty of gel in there.

Very nice gel. Thick and creamy. However I agree that it is a pain to dispense. No way you can hold and dispense with one hand. I needed to push is against the counter to dispense. It comes out in small amounts. Will be going back to the named brand.

As far as comfort & close shave goes, it does an OK job. If Edge were 5 stars, Equate would be 3 stars except for the fact that the dispense button is so hard to push that I have to set the can on the counter top and push down on top the can with about 5 to 7 lbs force with the palm of left hand. Just can't hold the can in left hand and dispense gel onto right hand fingers like I can with Edge. I never gave much thought about how important the design of the can would be until I tried Equate Gel shave cream. I have to agree with another reviewer and say that I'm going back to Edge. Your mileage may vary. Good luck.

Shaving gel is ok but with wet hands it is almost impossible to dispense. I think I will go back to Edge until something changes.

This jell goes on heavy and never really foams up. It turns into a heavy foam that washes away leaving your face feeling sticky. Edge works much, much better.

Like others have said, the dispenser is so hard to control. you have to push down so hard that when it finally comes out, you have a handful of product that you don't need.

Horrible product! Label says: Compare to Edge's Extra Moisturizing Shave Gel. No comparison, totally different product, does not lather and the more you try to lather the more it turns to liquid! Also has a slight insecticide smell! Usually buy Equate products, this one is a TOTAL MISS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Total waste of money, threw away both containers I purchased
