I broke out and hives 3 days before vacation. I'm not sure what caused the hives, if it was a bug bite , or poison ivy. I first used the lidocaine spray, and then I put the diplhydramine over the top of that. it stopped the continuous itch.

This has to be divided into two parts. the solution itself is an excellent pain killer, but not as effective as the gel version, which is concentrated and kills pain almost immediately. The spray is effective only after about five minutes or more. Hardly noticable except those who use both and can recognize the time difference. The second part is the spray bottle. The bottle itself is hard to hold with one hand and operate the sprayer pump and forget about spraying at any position other than straight up. Once you turn the bottle at a 45* angle or more, it doesn't work, which is bad news if you are spraying your feet or lower legs or hard to reach areas.

The reason I would not reccomend anything for an animal in this type of pump sprayer is bc the dog doesnt like being sprayed anyway, by the time the nozzle retracts to spray again, the dog is over antsy and wanting to get out of the way. The better option is that aerosol spray hydrocortisone. It works like a dream

though this came up when i searched for poison treatments, this is not for poison and says not to use it on poison.

The spray is good. It was 1000 times better as an aerosol. This new atomizer pump is terrible, gets clogged and leaks. I've bought multiple, and the same issues with every one.

I doubt this is less effective than regular Benadryl brand but if you want great itch relief--probably the best possible... Get Ivarest.... Not sure if anyone makes a generic but this stuff is a miracle... I had/have shingles on back of head and my itch has stuck around and Ivarest was the miracle...

Pump wouldn't spray so was defective %26 that's all I know since I do not know because I didn't even get to use it.

have not be able to use - pump does work - keep trying to return but web site does not work for returns! Tried to return another pdt buy would not take that either!?

Item doesn't work. I was using the aerosol which was great. however, they must have changed the recipe because this is just like putting water on your itch.
