Equate Foaming Facial Cleanser, 12 fl oz

I actually just hit a review on this Facebook wash.It works great.Removing all my makeup, even my lipstick only when I wanted to wash off my mascara.It kind of burns your eyes. So just wash your eyes, plain water.Maybe it's just me.I'm getting the suds in my eyeballs.Like a dough brain lol

I absolutely love this face wash and it's the only one I'll ever buy again. The scent has a dusty quality is one of those ones that you probably shouldn't love (like wet paint) but you do. I switched back to this after trying a similar product and my acne cleared right up.

GV has gone over the top with this facial cleanser. Like most people I have had to cut my budget so I tried this and was impressed with how well it cleans my face. My face feels so clean. It foams while I am washing my face and it makes my face feel rejuvenated! Thank you Walmart!

This cleanser works really well and leaves my skin feeling clean without being stripped or irritated. I have sensitive skin, and this has been gentle enough for daily use with no issues. It foams nicely, rinses clean, and is a great value for the size and price. Definitely sensitive-skin approved.

The Equate version of the this cleanser has a thinner consistency, and doesn't foam as much as the CeraVe version, but if feels the same on my skin otherwise. I use the CeraVe in the morning, and the Equate at night, and can't tell the difference other than the consistency and foam production. Comparing the labels of both the Equate version and the CeraVe version, the ingredients are mostly similar with only a few differences. The CeraVe version contains: Methylaraben, Propylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hydrolyized Hyaluronic Acid, and Phytosphingosine, which the Equate does not contain. The Equate version contains: Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, and Carbomer, which CeraVe does not contain. I have no idea what these ingredients do, but they are most likely the reason for the differences in the consistencies and foaming action. I will still use the CeraVe version, but the Equate version is not a bad alternative for those looking for something similar at less of a cost.

I started buying this because my old brand was discontinued and everything else is outrageously overpriced. It has nearly doubled in cost since I started using it a couple years ago. It leaves my skin feeling clean, and it is still reasonable compared to other washes, I guess. It is very watery so you have to be quick to get it on the face, but it lathers up well. I only need a pump or two and lose half through my fingers.

Good value for quantity. I have not used its name brand dupe to compare, but it doesn't feel like it rinses off thoroughly. Perhaps that's the "doesn't leave your skin feeling dry" property of the ingredients which leaves me feeling like my skin isn't clean :( I prefer a squeaky clean feeling after washing so I will not be buying again.

I do not recommend it if you were expecting "foaming" soap. On one side of my sink sits a bottle labeled "foaming hand soap", which dispenses a fluffy, lathery plume of soap for hand washing. On the other side sits this Equate bottle labeled "foaming facial cleanser", which does NOT dispense a fluffy, lathery plume of soap as I expected, but just a regular blob of gel. Does the blob of gel get foamy and lathery as you rub it on your face? To a slight extent, as even a bar of soap will do the same. This Equate Foaming Facial Cleanser is NOT a true foaming soap, as I expected. The very reason I purchased it was that I prefer a light and fluffy soap for my face rather than a cold gel blob to smear around. Otherwise, it works well as a cleanser. My face felt clean after washing with it. But I do not understand why they make the claim that it is "foaming".

Smells so weird, like green chili peppers. Very thin and runny. Thinner than your average hand soap. Very disappointing, will not buy again. Pump works nicely, packaging is fine, poor quality. I can barely get it to my face before it slides down my arm, it's so liquidy.

It is clear this product is purchased through Cere've based on the packaging. It is also clear that the Equate version has about 25% or more water because it is so watery compared to Cere've. I have the travel size of the name brand and can honestly tell you they are not the same consistency. I thought I would be okay using it till it was gone but 10 days has convinced me it's not worth it. I normally use Nutrogena. I tried this because the Cere've product is good, however Walmart's contract has it too diluted.
