I used this during my pregnancy as I was avoiding chemical sunscreen. It works well, not uncomfortable to wear, no scent, great value, worked on face and body, and I did not have a white cast after the product absorbed.
I live in Florida, have a pool and am outside daily. I wanted a sunscreen that wasn't full of junk and actually affordable. Was so happy to find this. If worn correctly, and reapplied every hour to hour and a half or so, you will not burn. Consistency is thick, but not too thick. You can tell you are getting get coverage. I burn easily, but not with this stuff!
All mineral sunscreen has a white cast, so I don't really think that's a valid complaint. We are a brown skinned family and yes, it leaves a white cast (looks kind of purple) but that's expected. It works well and you get a lot of product for little cost, so for that, I give it five stars.
Prepare to be very white It worked great for preventing burns, however, it was very thick and pasty when trying to apply it to the skin.. It was a little surprising that it was that hard to spread because it literally ran out of the container really easily. The lid could benefit from that little silicone insert that keeps the product in the container until squeezed.
I bought this for my like of the non-kids version. This however does have a different formula. When you apply it is more tacky and it does leave a white film that you can't really rub in all the way: HOWEVER it is waterproof and it does work very well. We were on the water for about 7 hours and had no issues with sunburn (we did reapply) the water just kind or rolls off you in little beads against the sunscreen. I would buy again. It's worth it for the price and effectiveness and the kids don't care!
If you or your family have darker skin I would not recommend this sunscreen. I put this sunscreen on my child before he went out to camp and it ended horribly. The lotion made my child's skin look ashy and purple and it was hard to rub in. At one point I thought nevermind let me just get a wet towel and rub it off but it wouldn't come off for anything I had to scrub and scrub and only got off a tiny bit of it!! I felt horrible sending my kid out the door looking the way he did. Never again...
It was supposed to be the one with Titanium dioxide and Zinc Oxide. Instead I received the one with Avobenzone and the other stuff. Your description and images on the walmart website are wrong.
why does Walmart not deliver milk and eggs anymore. customer service said they dont know why. but walmart doesnt deliver milk to me
I thought that all mineral sunscreens were created equal-NOPE! I take after my Northern European ancestors that lack melanin/pigment. Freckles are my skin color. Knowing I burn easily I applied enough of this to make Casper the ghost jealous. Y'all, I'm so red if I could be folded up into an octagon people would mistake me for a stop sign. Don't buy this if your melanin cells are lazy.
I'm going to be returning this. After using other zinc products, I realize that this one gave me hypo pigmentation after use. I would suggest staying away from this for that reason. There is probably another ingredient in there causing this issue. It's also concerning because of the history of some sunscreens actually potentially causing skin cancer.
