These large size patches are the perfect low cost alternative to the "expensive" brand usually found on store shelves with the same ingredient list. I prefer this formulation, as I am too sensitive to the patches that are capsaicin based. The addition of Methyl Salicylate does the trick to take the edge off my back pain when pain reliever pills just don't cover the aching. The only drawbacks I can find with these equate patches is the adhesive doesn't quite hold as well as I would like sometimes, especially when I am fidgety and uncomfortable from the pain as it tends to roll up and peel away from the body with a lot of movement. Also there are only 6 patches in this packaging, compared to 9 from the name brand, but for the price I'm not really complaining. Worth a try in my book.
Very easy to apply, I wish the patches stayed in place as effectively as they are to apply! Helpful for my pain. Effective. I am rotating active ingredients in my patches %26 the Equate brand has been just great! Absolutely comparable. Now if it just came with some adhesive for the edges, to keep patch in place. When the clothes rub over the patch, t can pull the patch up, likewise with sleeping/laying. Simple adhesive on the edges can help. Cheers!
I have back issues- herniated and protruding discs- previous back surgery. I found these patches last week and had never heard of them. The lidocaine patches aren't touching the pain so I thought I'd try these. I've used them twice, both at night, and am actually able to get some relief. It does a great job of numbing the area. Cooling sensation. Comfortable. Helps me sleep. They don't smell the best, but it doesn't bother me. I do wish they would stick a little better though. But that's an issue with all patches. This is a different type of material/patch. It's harder than your regular, soft lidocaine patch. Overall, I highly recommend for pain relief.
Patch is worthless. Did absolutely nothing to help with back pain. Also, it does not stay in place. The adhesive sucks. It ended up rubbing off and sticking to my shorts more than my skin. I will go back to the name brands like Salonpas or Icy Hot from now on.
They are hard to get off of my back, and the second time i uswd one there was a burning sensation that was so bad i wasnt able to use it. The size says extra large but its more like a large. Very disappointing.
I don't recommend this product, my skin got rashes after using this product.
I think they left the pain relief part out. I can barely feel it. Same ingredients as a pain patch I bought at Dollar Tree. But the cheap ones at $Tree work. This glorious WalMart product does not work. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY buying this Equate product! Two [patches @ $ Tree for $1.25 tx that actually work and bring relief.
These things are absolutely ridiculous! Because I have had a lot of practice with surgery pain (27 surgeries actually) and have used about every pain reliever out there from OTC to prescription including patches, transdermal, cream lotion and MORE patches and have never tried to use anything so complicated in my life! It was all sticking together and would not come apart! By the time I realized how to get the plastic off the back of the couch I had gone through 4 of the 6 patches. I'm returning the rest of them!
Walmart brand was substituted for salon paws there is absolutely no comparison to Walmart brand does not stick. It's hard to get out of package and I will never ever purchase it over salon pass. I would really like to have a refund on that because these are next to impossible to use.
I wanted to like these but they roll up. I put 2 on in different places on my back, both would catch my shirt and roll up. I also use the heated patches but they don't roll up. I would not purchase this item again.
