Equate Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone 1% Anti-Itch Spray, 3 oz

I highly recommend. This stuff actually works wells, soothes your skin from the itchiness of eczema and with multiple applications and a good soap, ultimately will help heal your skin. In addition, you get an extra oz. more than from a leading competitor , plus the spray is stronger and can reach down your back. Always order extra of this brand because it's often sold out.

This hydrocortisone anti-itch spray is a godsend for itchy skin covering large areas or in places that are hard to reach, like between your shoulder blades. I've tried the Cortizone brand name and honestly, I get the same amount of relief from the Equate brand for a lower cost. One caution, just like with any spray-on products — make sure you aren't pointing it towards your face before pressing down on the nozzle! Also, if there's a breeze make sure to turn so you're spraying it downwind. This is not the kind of corticosteroid that you want to inhale!

I sometimes get really itchy skin and need relief. This product really works...and fast! I'm able to spray it in any direction on my back, when there's no one else at home to help me. And it stops the itching! I love the cooling effect it has on my skin, too.

Best is that you can turn the can in any direction to spray. When spraying your back it is totally upside down. The Other Brand can't and also has a powder added to it that I don't like. I always buy this one now.

I've been to my primary care doc and a specialist in search of relief for this mysterious rash on my shin and they both prescribed different creams with different strengths and neither one helped in the long run.. or in the short run for that matter. However, I had a pharmacist recommended this and I swear by it!! The relief was almost instantaneously and it's way easier to apply than cream. Just spray on and go about your business. The ant itch medicine in the spray form is easy to apply compared to creams and ointments, particularly when the entire back and neck and chest may be itching for whatever reason. I mix a tiny amount of this equate spray with body cream and it works every time.

this is a multi-purpose spray for whatever itches you. my name is Labrador had a red rash on his stomach a footlong so I bought this and sprayed it on him twice a day and within 3 days you could see the rash almost gone. of course, keep using it until it's completely gone.

7/13/26 Previously I used the Equate brand anti-itch aerosol spray in the green %26 white bottle. It worked very well to control the itch from chigger bites. My supply of that ran out and I had a bottle of Equate Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone 1% Anti-Itch Spray 5 oz. on hand for when that happened. The Equate Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone 1% Anti-Itch Spray 5 oz. is easy to use and gives some relief. However, the Equate Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone 1% Anti-Itch Spray 5 oz. leaves a gummy residue on the skin and on the floor where you have sprayed it on yourself. Also, the Equate Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone 1% Anti-Itch Spray 5 oz. is more expensive than the Equate anti-Itch spray in the green %26 white bottle. I wish Walmart would bring back the Equate anti-itch spray in the green %26 white bottle. I will be looking for a substitute item to use in the meantime.

It's a good product, just wasn't for me as I was expecting a miracle. I deal with chronic hives and thought this would soothe some of itching. It did but not for long.

I have used the trade name Hydrocortisone 1% spray before. That sprayed on easily and dried within a minute or two. This spray, even though same amount, lasted half as long and, doesn't dry, and leaves a sticky substance on the skin. I bought two tubes and will use it with a skin cream to soften the impact of the substance. I moved to using this spray INSTEAD OF skin cream. I won't ever buy Equate spray again.
