I tried one blade and it fit. That was the objective. It, also, shaved well.
I like these blades, they work well for me. I have always bought them in Walmart. Now I can only get them online. There is a minimum amount needed to spend in oder not to be charged a fee of $6.99. I'm very disappointed in this. They should still be sold in the stores.
These are the best blades I have ever used and I am expecting they will be the only ones I will ever need to buy (and I have tried many over the decades past). They give a very close and smooth shave but importantly without the nicks and cuts. They stay sharp long too. Bravo to this product !
I get these for my husband. He says they shave just as well as the pricier brands he shaved with for so long (Gillette, etc.). He says they shave close and last a long time (he dries them off after each use). Walmart definitely has won the razor price battle on good blades. We're very pleased.
For me, more blades = better and more comfortable shave, so 5 is better than 4, 3, 2, or 1 blade. I also find that I can use it for multiple shaves which makes the price reasonable. I used to use Dorco an online brand because they had 6 and 7 blade razors and they still are better but they cost 2X as much as Equate, so I've switched to Equate because the 6 and 7 blade razors are only marginally better. I've tried pretty much every Gillete razor for men and find Equate is just as good for much less and that Dorco is better for the same cost.
Best shaver for the money just as good if not better than all the high priced razors and better than Harrys, my only gripe is that Walmart does not keep them in stock!
Enough folks described the blades. Yes they're fine. I was using Pro Glide and tired of trying to see who would sell me a pack of 100 or whatever, just so I can get the cost down to between three and four dollars per blade, so I switch to these in January and head back. My problem is I have gone online and checked all 15 or so local Walmarts as well as Walmart online via shipping and displayed is no longer available. Just putting it out there that if you happen to be active duty, military, or a veteran of any type tOu can shop at the Base Exchange and find the exact razor and identical blades being sold as the BX brand “Exchange Select”. They are sold in four packs, but workout to the same price as Walmart was selling them. So to be clear, you can either buy the same razor and blades, or just get the blade refills at the base exchange and continue to use the razors you bought at Walmart.
These are cheaper than the "name brands" and do just as good a job. I would give 5 stars but they stopped carrying this in our local store. I cannot recommend it if the store dosen't have it. Bring it back and I will give 5 stars
I have purchased 2 packages of these equate the ultimate 5 blade cartridges, I have to say you should not have fixed what was not broken. I actually thought after I had used a few of the blades in the first pack that maybe someone had already purchased them pretty much wore out the blades then put them back in the package and returned them. I ended up throwing them a way. I purchased the second package and tried the first cartridge with the same results. They do not shave as close as the older equate 5 blade cartridges and the trimmer on these cartridges do not work good at all. I have been shaving with my equate 5 blade razor for several years and have always been happy with the refills until the last 2 packages I purchased.
I bought these, only noticing the compare to a pro glide razor… not bothering to read further, which is indeed my own fault, I didn't notice that these heads only fit the equate razor handle. I decided that's fine, we'll get the handle since the heads are so much cheaper. It's been almost two weeks and I still have not been able to find that handle anywhere in stock. Not even the option to be put on a list or something to be informed of when it's back in stock. Although I should have read the fine print, I still feel like the compare to pro glide is a tad misleading. And if you're going to use those types of descriptions, you could at least provide the option to get the handle somewhere! But you can't. It's been out of stock every single day in store, online to be shipped…
