The minoxidil has been a lifesaver!!! Due to aging, my hair thinned out a lot in patches on my head. I tried the minoxidil with little hope, but I stuck with it, and in approximately four months, there was clear hair growth. IT WORKS!!! I went to the dermatologist, and she told me to use it every day for one year, and after that to use it twice a week. She said it's fine to use the men's minoxidil, which is a little more than double the strength as the women's, but beware, it is a bit thicker and will make your hair a bit gooey. There's a bit of a problem with the women's, too, but not nearly as bad. Also, it's a good idea to buy a minoxidil applicator; this keeps you from being wasteful and helps with it getting in your hair. I've tried the super expensive Nutrafol , and after almost one year, I had zero hair growth. Talk about frustrating!!!! Nutrafol was $88 a bottle, and it was quite a bit less liquid in the bottle than one bottle of minoxidil. The cost is another reason that makes purchasing it a no-brainer. You get three larger bottles of the minoxidil for $22 versus one smaller bottle of Nutrafol for $88, no brainer. If you're having trouble with hair loss, there is hope…..IT WORKS!!!!

it has helped my hair grow back in!! it was falling out bad! i dont shed like I used to either. it does cause some irritation I had to change shampoos and conditioner and wash my hair every other day. I recommend using an anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner and trying different ones til you get one that works for you. And dont run out if you skip a couple doses your hair will start falling out again. And dont put it on if you are going to get your head wet within a couple hours. if it gets in your eyes it burns.

I'm a woman in her 60's who is thinning on top. I prefer the 2% to the 5%. I feel when you ease up a bit on the 5 I loose all the new hair. The 2% seems to work better in the long run, and I can eventually use once or twice a week to maintain. I've tried others more expensive but always come back to this product! It works.
