Great value and seems to last longer than labeled.
I don't know about that other review. I've used this for years and it seems to be equivalent to Coppertone Sport. It is hard to spread, but you really should use a lot. After a bit it dries.
Unfortunately it was the product i preferred at walmart and i am alergic to the replacement product
I bought this Equate sunscreen due to the low price and because I really only needed it for one day at the beach. I used it on myself and my three children (including toddler) and none of us had any allergic-type reaction that many other reviews of the Equate sunscreens claim. I read all those reviews and was worried about it because we are actually prone to sensitive skin and reacting to chemicals and fragrances, but I'm happy to report we had no problem with this sunscreen in that regard. However, we did all get minor sunburns after only 2.5 hours at the beach, and we didn't even go in the water much at all. So while this is an inexpensive sunscreen, it is also not the greatest protection, and I would definitely not wait more than an hour before reapplying. And you'd probably want to skip it entirely and spend the extra money for a higher-performing sunscreen if you're planning to do a lot of swimming or water sports, or spending an entire day out in the sun. Sunscreen was purchased in June 2017 with a May 2018 expiration date. It should be noted that the sunscreen lotion actually ended up removing the barely visible expiration date printed on the cap after just one day's use, so there is the potential for someone to end up using this product unknowingly after it expires (which could have some pretty painful results considering it wasn't that protective in the first place). In short: it'll do in a pinch, but I have definitely used better sunscreens.
This lotion was watery and not as easy to appy as other lotions. I used this on my face and and in warm weather lotion ran into my eyes and caused burning feeling. Very uncomfortable for facial use. Did not live up to its water resistant rating.
I only use sunscreen on really high uv days. I applied the equate sport spf30 waited 20 minutes went into a lake up to my waist. 20 minutes later I could feel my skin burning. Reapplied 3x as much as the first time. Waiting 30 minutes went into the water again to my waist. 30 minutes later I went to sit in the shade. Got home and I was burnt in random blotches on my back (was fully coated in sunscreen) The expiration date is next year. It will be in the garbage by then
If you regularly re-apply sunscreen, and like to get significant sunburn, then THIS SUNSCREEN IS FOR YOU!!! I'm fair skinned, freckly, outside all the time, and have no trouble with the sun as long as I use spf 30 sunscreen and reapply every few hours. However, I got roasted when I used this product; a(n italian) friend also used this sunscreen, and got noticeably red. That doesn't happen to her. I expected that I'd get a reliable product when I purchased the Walmart brand, but I was wrong. As I went to look for reviews, I noticed that "this item is unavailable." It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Walmart has already pulled this item from its shelves. If however they haven't and it is back in stock some day, save yourself the trouble and buy some real sunscreen...unless you like paying to get sunburned.
I used it 3 times, applied it liberally, and gotten sunburned all three times. I wasnt even in the water. Yesterday I sat outside, it was 67° to read and got sunburned, I was not sweating. I'd hate to see what my burn would look like if I was in the pool or doing outside activities in the heat of summer.
I, like a reviewer for the Equate 50 SPF, tried this product when I couldn't find the No-Ad products I've been happy with for years. The Equate sunscreen was very thick and sticky, and didn't absorb well. My daughter-in-law and I got pretty bad sunburns, though we waited 20 minutes before swimming and reapplied as needed, etc. My face, however, did not burn ... I had used CoverGirl makeup with SPF 22 which worked much better than the Equate SPF 30 sunscreen! I will not use this product again, and am planning to return it to the store since it did not even come close to living up to its "Satisfaction Guarantee"!
