Equate Therapeutic Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, 8.5 fl oz

My scalp gets itchy sometimes, especially in the winter. I believe the electric heat makes the air in my home very dry and this has something to do with it. I have only used this product a few times so far, but I must say I am impressed. I really DO see an improvement. I feel the more I use it the better it will get.

This product worked very well for me. I had struggled with dandruff for almost a year. After trying a lot of different products I was at the end of my rope. This shampoo has Coal Tar as it's active ingredient and was the only thing that worked for me. What I have discovered is there are many causes and many solutions to problem dandruff. The ant-dandruff shampoos seem to break down into about four or five types. Some are based on pyrithione zinc, salicylic acid, selinium sulfide, and ketoconazole. So dandruff can be inflammation based fro many things such as fungus, or other conditions. SO there is a lot of trial and error. I had tried all of the chemical base ones before I found the one with coal tar. Bingo it was a fix !! I live in a very arid region so I don't know if that also alters the type of condition you have but finding which shampoo is can be tricky. The Equate Therapeutic Shampoo was my last and final shampoo. I can now toss the other five bottles. After a week of using Equate Therapeutic Shampoo I no longer need it at all. Still I keep a spare bottle in the medicine cabinet should my dandruff ever return. I hope this works as well for everyone as it did for me. Don't give up, like I said you just have to find out which one works on your dandruff. I would most certainly recommend starting with this one.(Equate Therapeutic Shampoo)

I've been using this shampoo for a long time now. It's exactly the same as the more expensive brand. It works the same and I'm very happy with it!

Works as good as the name brand but much much much more cost effective. Similar in appearance, ingredients and scent. I would recommend this.

This item is so good i will buy this item from now on, I have really bad dandruff and i just start to use it and i have already seen a difference.

Works great! Began using it for child's itchy scalp. Now we even use in our dog's bath water for his itchy skin/excessive scratching. We will continue to use this product.

I have always had dandruff problems and use to get.. Tegrin medicated shampoo...but; the company that made it was bought out and they quit making it. Finally a few years ago I found this Equate medicated shampoo at Walmart....and it does a Great job. Plus it costs much less than the Big name brands. The ingredient that stops the Dandruff is the ...Coal Tar. If you have dandruff problems...use this every day and soon your problems will be gone. Good Price...Good Value...Good Product.

This is ok compared to the Neutrogena T-Gel. The T-Gel is stronger than this and has a more fragrant smell. Though if you're looking to save a few bucks then this Equate brand is the way to go.
