I have drank many kinds of protein shakes, this Equate Protein Shake is the absolute best ! Seriously. It tastes so Good; like drinking a delicious Vanilla ice cream milkshake. And it has 30 grams of protein in a bottle, and only 2 grams of sugar. After I tried the first shake, I immediately bought 3 more boxes.
This was a really good substitute for a higher priced brand. The taste was just right with the vanilla, it was creamy, and . It is sweet enough to feel like you were getting a treat. Good value for a protein shake that can be a good foundation for a smoothie with other items added to it.
I have difficulty getting enough protein so I started supplementing with shakes. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I try to steer towards ultra filtered, lactose free. I was very skeptical of this but to my surprise, it is delicious!! I'm not a chocolate fan so I stick with vanilla. I pour a bottle into a tumbler, add some sugar free vanilla syrup, ice and pour black ice coffee over it. I get my protein and my coffee kick. lol Just ordered my 2nd box but was surprised to see it increased by $3.00 since I ordered the first box a week ago. Still much less than Core 26 or Nurri. Highly recommend.
Let me start by saying it's really smooth and is thinner than most protein shakes which I appreciate because I tend to drink skim and low fat milk… so it has a chocolate milk consistency. It has 30 grams of protein and only has 3 net carbs, which is amazing!! The price per bottle is awesome!! My biggest con: it has an aftertaste that's almost floral. It keeps making me think of laundry detergent or fabric softener, which is really weird! (especially since it's chocolate-flavored).
I drink this for the protein however, there are some things I don't like. If you have arthritis or weak hands, the"peel off" seal inside it hard to pull off. The lip around the mouth of the bottle is sharp and rough. I don't think I'm a fan of the container. The flavor is not bad but could taste better. The sugar substitute is too strong.
I bought these in both vanilla and chocolate. The vanilla is very awful, the plastic flavor from the bottle overpowers the vanilla. It tastes like chemicals. The chocolate is only slightly better, less plastic taste. It's still not a product that I would buy again. Especially when there's so many much better tasting protein shake options out there.
These protein drinks are smooth and not too thick, but they taste more like the plastic that they are packaged in than a vanilla protein shake. I will chug these down holding my breath, so I don't have to taste them as much. Would not buy them again.
A hint of vanillaish taste, but overall little taste/aftertaste. Watery consistency nothing at all like a milkshake. Only redeeming quality... relatively inexpensive 30g/bottle protein source purchased at reduced price of $14.88/12-pack, but won't purchase again even at that price.
Chocolate flavor? I think NOT! I can't identify what it tastes like, but it's definitely NOT chocolate! It almost tastes like some sort of cleaning product got mixed in. Absolutely disgusting. Absolutely undrinkable. I had been looking forward to drinking a bottle of this every day for my health, but there's no way that I can tolerate the awful taste. Ick. Perhaps someone at the factory should have tasted this first, before they decided to sell it. It tastes like something that a human should NOT be ingesting.
product was exposed to extreme heat for over a week being shipped from Arizona to NC. , the protein shakes were ruined from.heat exposure . returned the product t due to poor shipping practices .protein shakes can grow bacteria from excessive heat
