Was researching supplements for my 18 year old that all of the sudden developed stifle issues.A smartpak rep had gone over all of the ingredients and helped me compare Equithrive to other supplements, I was pleasantly surprised in the difference it made.
My 21 year old horse has Cushings Disease and I was thinking of retiring him, because he was often stiff and sore throughout his body, but since I started giving him Equithrive, he's now back in work and happily running in the pasture. Amazing difference!
My vet recommended this product over a year ago but they did not carry it in my SmartPak‘s until recently… I bought a container of it to see if my horses would eat it and was impressed with the results after about two weeks or so, they both have been finishing there grain and are normally picky(fingers crossed). Equithrive is now a part of my SmartPak's....
I took my OTTB with Navicular off his Smartpak joint supplement to try this product- will be restarting him on Smartpaks as soon as my current order of Equithrive gets low. I love the convenience and simplicity of having my supplements in Smartpaks. I've seen a noticeable difference in the comfort my horse feels just in the first 30 days on Equithrive! I love it even more now that Smartpak carries it!
I bought 10 pounds bucket from the company on the advice of my vet to try on my big eventer Holsteiner who is currently on daily Previcox, every 6 month hock injections, Adequan and glucosamine for mild + hock arthritis. I was skeptical but plopped down the $300 and started jim on the loading dose. We are about 7 weeks in and I am noticing a big difference. He is jumping with ease and using himself better. The package says I could go to maintenance or stay on the loading dose for "intense therapy". He is doing so well on the loading dose, we are going to stay there. Pricey at the loading dose daily but I am noticing big results and he is in work so well worth it.
Its the best joint supplement my horses have ever been on. I have had three different horses on Equithrive Joint and it has helped each. I plan on keeping them on it.
Got it home an opened it up. First thing I noticed was the smell. Which my dogs noticed also. Very pleasant, an she had no problem eating it up when added to her feed. Noticed a difference in her at about week 3.
I have an 18 year old percheronX that I event and wanted to make sure that he was getting the best treatment, supplements, eta for his age and activity level. I am highly suspicious or oral joint treatments and picked Equithrive, because of it research and support from vets at accredited AVMA universities. I gave this supplement to my horse for 1 year to see if Equithrive improved my horse's performance during competition, or maintained, or decreased. Overall, I believe it help only to maintain my horses soundness, something that I feel cheaper products can do just as well. I would like to note: my horse did have EPM at one point of the year that could have affected my bias. One the other-hand I think that my horse benefited greatly from being on this supplement while being treated for EPM, because it might have reduced the inflammation going on in his body. He ended up bouncing back after 2 months of being diagnosed. Also I think it kept some of the larger symptoms were kept at bay: like seizures, falling over, tripping, eta, because of Equithrive. In conclusion I think this product is good for maintaining, but I did not see an improvement of performance over a year. With the price that its at now I believe that a cheaper supplement supplement would be best for me.
My 14 yo Oldenburg does seem to move out of the box a bit better in the mornings. Probably too soon to tell.... It's a bit pricey. Thought I would see more dramatic results.
I am on my second month of this and I believe that I am seeing results. My PSSM2 horse seems a lot more supple and able to step under himself better. Before purchasing I reviewed clinical trials with Resveratrol in humans with MD and also read the research for this particular product. I figured it was worth a try.
