Best sand colic prevention: flavored pellets
best psyllium product I have found to prevent equine sand colic: both effective AND best part is pellet form, so no powder remains uneaten in bottom of feed bin. The pellets are anise-flavored (licorice); all my horses gobble them up as a treat, so no mixing with feed needed. In sandy West Texas impossible for horses to eat anything off ground without ingesting quantities of sand. Also hay often is dusty. 2 scoops in a.m. for each horse, 1 week treatment/month helps clear digestive tract, without loose stools. 5 lbs treats my 3 horses for their 1-week monthly treatment. Best price researched was from Walmart!
