[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not much PPE is required for my work but a good pair of gloves is absolutely essential. Handling trailer doors, gladhand connections, converter gears, pintle hooks, and steering wheel palming can wear holes in basic gloves in a single day so I opt for something more durable. These are a nearly perfect balance of high dexterity and impact protection. Very comfortable and easy on/off. The thick dorsal side rubber pieces are stitched in place very well and prevent busting knuckles against steel. I am also pleased to report that while they don't have the best touch screen capability, I am able to operate my handheld without removing a glove most of the time. The only noticeable wear following about 50 hours of use is the nitrile coating has been rubbed off a bit. That is due to the abrasive rubber surface of the steering wheel in our yard tractor. I expect these gloves will last for quite some time to come and when they're ready to be retired, I would gladly purchase another pair. Thanks Ergodyne!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size fit perfectly. Pretty much on a daily basis working with sheet metal on the jobsite. They have been holding up well after a couple days of use. They are very comfortable. Haven't had to punch anything on the site yet to test out the knuckle pads on the back haha.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression, these gloves are heavy duty. They are pretty heavy out the package however they fit snug and comfy. Ordered a large and they fit great as I have averagely large hands, gloves can be a tough fit sometimes. It can be hard to make a fist due to the knuckle padding. You will have to sacrifice some mobility for the added protection. Can still grip any tool necessary for the job with ease. Very durable material, says it is cut resistant, I did test this with kitchen knives and it held up very well with minimal surface damage. Could turn a wrench, swing a hammer, or put on wire nuts with these gloves with ease. The knuckle padding is amazing as I always seem to cut, scrape, bruise and damage my hands. Definitely absorbs and minimizes the impact. I like the added protection, in the web between your thumb and index finger. I feel quite a bit safer when cutting items near my hands with these features. These gloves have great grip, won't be losing the 10mm in the engine compartment anymore. The hi-vis is nice depending on the job, if more color options were available other people may like that. To me that isn't a big sale point personally. Overall these gloves are great, durable and practical. I would recommend them to anyone working with their hands.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Climbing with these gloves was a nice change from the regular nitrile dipped gloves I've worn. Pros: -The grip on the palm does not flake off into my friction hitch and stop me from moving-The grip on the palm is pretty durable-knuckle protection does a great job!-Form fitting and comfortable Cons-Hands get cold easily even on a cool fall day (could be a pro for summer wear though)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gloves fit tight when you start to put them on but after you get them on they feel like a second skin. They are very comfortable and working with tools it is nice to know they will keep your hand safe from cuts. They are also very lightweight which is very helpful when you're working with your hands doing a job.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this glove looking for something to protect my fingers and hands when replacing or adjusting belts on HVAC equipment. It does a decent job at that, the back of the hand is a little bulky for me. There is not enough dexterity when I need to do anything with the wiring. I find myself really liking these gloves when I do gas piping. Whether it's grabbing pipe out of a pile or cranking down with a pair of wrenches I have great grip and protection from other pipes and if the wrench slips.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves provide great comfort and protection. I could see how these could be ideal for someone working concrete or a reinforcing ironworker perhaps, especially since they're hi-vis. As you can imagine with this level of protection, you sacrifice some tactile fingertip dexterity but, the grip is amazing on dry or oily parts and tools. They have been engineered with soft/strong threading that doesn't scratch like steel/aramid and a reinforced thumb crotch which makes them extremely durable while providing comfort you might not expect, they aren't stiff like some impacts are. The gloves are built for hard working tradesmen and as far as I know Ergodyne is the only brand making impact's with the protective elements sewn onto them...kudos, great gloves!!
I got these a few months ago after an angle grinder ripped through a generic pair of work gloves and into my finger. These are head and shoulders better. The rubber palm provides ample grip while also letting me thread bolts with my fingers. The backing on it provides a bunch of protection for my knuckles when I'm wrenching on stuff and end up punching something metal when the socket breaks or slips. The inside is smooth enough that I can wear latex gloves before I put them on to keep my hands clean. I've handled broken glass and cut metal pipe and they've held up extremely well. 10/10, would buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had these gloves for a couple weeks now and have nothing bad to say about them. They have awesome grip and are very comfortable. No signs of wear or tear. Would definitely recommend these gloves.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dub thee, Sir Knuckle Busters. I used these gloves while working under the van, knowing my own propensity to destroy the backs of my hands and knuckles any time I do automotive work. I usually finish with less skin than I started. These gloves compensated for that beautifully, taking any thwacks I delivered and absorbing them into the rubber ribbing/overmolding. Conceptually, I really like these gloves. Ergodyne's cut-resistant material is extremely comfortable on the hands, and the finger bumpers move without restricting my dexterity. I do have issues with the overall quality of this model, however. If you look at your hand, your pinkie finger sits closer to the wrist than the other fingers and creates a curved arc across the hand. Most gloves reflect that. This pair did not; all of the finger joints followed across a straight line, which left much to be desired regarding fit. The rubber panel across the back of the hand only served to stiffen and reinforce this feature, which made an otherwise great glove much less likely to see repeated use. This may only be a batch quality issue, as opposed to design. I can only hope, because they are the first pair of gloves I have tried that allows me to move comfortably while still taking some licks. I liked them enough that I'd be willing to give them another try.
