This magnet mount sucks! It just plain sucks right to the windshield and stays put. It don't move, bounce, slide. I can grab it and pull on it with a good amount of force and it stays. Got the original one that came with my Redline 360c in my car and this one in my wife's so I don't have to bother with switching back and forth. The magnet is superb, the detector stays and doesn't move even if you hit a jarring pothole. I hit one in town the other day that blew my right front out and while my brand new iPhone on its magnet mount hit the floorboard the radar detector didn't budge. Time will tell how it ages but right now it works better than most I've ever use and I've had all your most well named detectors from Whistler to Uniden to Belkin and other in my life.
I love the EZ mag mount. I remove my radar everywhere I go carry in my bag. I do not leave it in my car if I go to the store, shopping, or going in the house. They ARE to expensive just to leave hanging from windshield and the EZ mag makes it possible.
I have utilized several different types of suction cups with my escort radar detectors, but the magnetic quick-release design is undoubtedly my preferred choice. I am very grateful for the promptness in receiving a replacement after the plastic suction component unfortunately cracked due to the intense heat from sun exposure. I anticipate being an escort owner for many years to come, and I extend my gratitude once more for your assistance with the new magnetic suction cup replacement.
Four stars, design is excellent. It falls when I leave the radar attached too long, no big deal when I take the radar off at night. Just concern about wear and tear.
This was a maddening experience. You shipped it twice via UPS only tobhave it returned to you TWICE before finally shipping it USPS. Thanks, I got it.
The mounts work great until they don't and start falling off the windshield. You can't really keep taking it off at that will degrade the stickiness and if you leave it on the heat and cold will degrade the suction cup over time. I suppose you have to replace them constantly without being able to buy the suction cups themselves.
I HAVE 3 OF THESE THEY DID NOT GLUE THE RUBBER SUCTION THE PLASTIC ADAPTER WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GETS HOT THE FALL OFF THE WINDSHIELD. ALSO WHEN THEY ARE COLD THE FALL OFF THE WINDSHIELD RADAR DETECTOR AND CAMERA. AND HIT THE SHIFT LEAVER AND DROP THE TRANSMISSION IN A LOWER GEAR LUCKY I WAS JUST GETTING STARTED. THEY NEED SOME IMPROVEMENT.
I have 4 of these and they keep failing. They fall off window. And yes “yada yada yada”…i make sure surfaces are clean, they initially suck on windshield but i have found when they sit in the sun i come back to them in my floorboard. And i have traveled and had them fall down while being in city traffic and thats a headache i dont need.
The little plastic locking lever tends to be cheap, when is mounted on the window after sunlight and some use the locking plastic level tends to snap off and you forced to buy another one at least in my case they don't just send out a replacement for their product. Once it breaks it's unusable because you can't lock it onto the glass. If this one breaks I'll find another way to just sit it on the dash without mounting it to glass
This is the third one I buy. One yearly, due to either losing suction or simply breaking in pieces. Is a great concept but need to work on durability.
