Essential Baking Cracked Wheat Sliced Sourdough Bread, Non-GMO, 16 oz

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VERY DELISH BREAD TOASTED LIGHTLY WITH PEANUT BUTTER MELTING ON TOP. A FINE BREAKFAST ACTUALLY, OR TOASTED DARK AND DIPPED IN DECAF COFFEE IN THE MORNINGS. HAVE TO WATCH THE SETTINGS ON TOASTER. SOME SLICES ARE HUGE, SO YOU EITEHR CUT IN HALF, OR TOAST UPSIDE DOWN EACH PART UNTIL DONE TO DESIRED EFFECT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. THIS RANKS BETTER THAN THE PLAIN SOURDOUGH TO ME ANYWAY. MAYBE THE CRACKED WHEAT ADDS A MORE HEARTY FLAVOR ALONG WITH BEING A SOURDOUGH. ALSO, MAKES A PERFECT FRENCH TOAST.

Not white bread, not exactly wheat. Nice in between and tastes so very good! I don't buy any other bread now.

Tried this bread first time it was on the app liked it from the first time and have bought it several times. Probably will continue buying as long as it's it available.

I love sourdough bread but never had the cracked wheat variety. The crust is a little hard for sandwiches. But I wanted to try a new breakfast sandwich recipe I found online-grilled ham, egg and cheese on French toast. I started by adding 1 tablespoon of Walmart's honey butter to my large frying pan. Then I cracked 1 egg and put 2 slices of bread in a plate with raised edges. When the bread was covered, I fried it in the honey butter. Then I sat that aside on a plate. and fried 1 more egg over low heat. and cut it in half with a pancake flipper. I put 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each piece of French toast, then added the fried egg. Lastly, I fried thin slices of ham in the same pan and put that on top of the French toast. Then I slapped the sandwich together and sliced it diagonally. Oh my gosh, what a fantastic filling breakfast!

It's OK. It's edible. It doesn't taste like sourdough to me, but it's decent wheat bread. I wish Walmart would stock good sourdough bread, like Panera sells.

sourdough wheat bread is one of my favorite breads, and so I was excited to see the brand appear in my Walmart choices. But, whether toasted or un toasted this bread has a mouth feel like it wasn’t baked long enough. It’s very doughy and heavy feeling.. Also, I do not even taste sourdough at all. For me this bread is a definite do not buy again.

I had a Walmart delivery on 18 March and I receive cracked wheat sourdough bread that expired on 12 March and had already began to have mold. Person pulling my order should pay more attention to the dates on the packaging. Basically wasted my Money.

The expiration date for this bread was several days away, but it was extremely dried out when I first opened it. Poor texture and flavor. The only thing it could be used for, in my opinion, is French toast, bread pudding, or croutons. Very disappointing. I'd never buy this again.
