Essie Couture 140 "Couture Curator" 0.05 oz

I had a French gel manicure before heading off to get married abroad...(not happy with result) so went to the spa in my hotel on the day of wedding to have gels removed and a normal polish applied. I could not have picked a more amazing colour..my nails looked fantastic and polish lasted a week (even though I was in the pool/sea every day and partaking in water sports) fab!!

I like what Essie did with the new brushes, for a more full and quicker paint to the nail making painting nails so much easier! I also love the aesthetics to the bottle, making it look new and chic.

This polish gives me the most professional looking results I've ever achieved at home. Goes on so smooth, is more forgiving than my usual lacquers and I love the shape of the brush. Makes it easy to get close to the cuticle without actually painting the cuticle and making a sloppy mani. I also love this color, in particular. It is definitely a purple with some mocha mixed in, so it is a muted purple. I would not call this a nude for any skin tone. It's just what I was looking for, though. I'll be buying more polishes from this line, for sure.

I tried this at a salon. The colour is amazing, a rich, velvety plum-brown. Most colours are too dark or too pale or too flamboyant for my skin tone, but this is one of the few that look good on me. Best for anyone with soft, muted and rather cool, colouring.

Perfect for fall or any time of the year. The brush on this nail polish glides along your nails perfectly. Overall this nail polish is wonderful. If you don't have it, you need it!

This is the best neutral nude, not too white and not too pink, just perfect. I used to use OPI Bubble Bath until they tweaked that colour and made it more pink which was not a good move. I finally found the perfect neutral nude colour in this and I use it every week. I really hope Essie make this colour in the professional salon gel version.

Originally tried Rock the Runway due to its popularity & reviews (it was nice). But then I tried Scarlet Starlet and fell in love!! It's a deeper, richer red color and has a stunning pearlescent sheen to it. I got so many compliments!

I love this color! In the sun it's a beautiful shade of green and in darker areas you can see a soft shade of gray. I really like how they blend well together. The only thing i would say is be careful when painting your nails; it takes about an hour or a bit more to dry. So when you paint it, make sure you're not going to do anything with your hands for a while.

I bought this a few weeks ago. It was my first Essie Gel Couture and I must say, it wasn't a good first impression. In opposition to the first review, it dried to a flat "bland" grey. I was hoping to be more of a green and have an earthy feel to it, but no...just your normal grey.
