Essie Gel Couture, 2-step longwear nail polish, is the best gel top coat for nails. It's very durable, making it a long-lasting polish and providing protection for the base color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing this Essie- Paisley the way color for a week now without any issues. The color is nice deep plum, not too purple. I applied two coats and the top coat. Consistency is pretty liquid but it gives you great coverage so two coats are enough. I let my nails dry for about 5 min between coats and 2 min for the top coat. The top coat makes your nails dry faster. Within 7-10 min my nails are pretty dry. It is important to apply the topcoat to all of your nail colors otherwise you will experience chipping later on. The color doesn't fade and looks great after a week. I am not sure if it will last much longer but is definitely comparable to the UV Gel colors without going to the salon and waiting and paying extra. My favorite thing is that the color doesn't transfer to the topcoat brush during application. To remove it you just use acetone, no need to soak it. Definitely a great set for durable, easy, and great-looking nails.

I absolutely love how this nail polish looks on me. It is easy to apply. It takes a while to completely dry but that's expected from a nail polish like this. The color is brown but more on the purple side. It's definitely more or a cool colored brown.

I received a free sample of the Essie gel polish (caviar color) and top coat. I have never been able to polish my own nails as I would put it on too thick or thin and it would never be smooth. When I applied the Essie polish it went on easy/smooth with just the right amount. The second coat was ready to be applied right after I applied the first coat. The second coat went on just as smooth and easily as the first coat. Right after the second coat I immediately applied the top coat that went on just as smoothly. I wore this color for over 21 days with no issues. I was able to remove the polish with regular polish remover. I was so impressed with the polish that this is the only nail polish I will use.

First I will say this polish is not cheap. I have bought another color after receiving a sample in the mail. However I only had to buy the new color since I already had the top coat. It is the best polish I have ever used on my nails. It won't last forever but I did get two weeks wear out of it. At that point I was starting to chip. Usually though color doesn't last past 3-4 day on my nails. I'm not easy on my nails. I highly recommend you splurge and purchase!

This color was strong and grabbed everyone's attention. I stayed 4 weeks with no chipping, and I am nurse and mother who is constantly washing her hands. I thought it would be too good to be true; glad I was so wrong, it's great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always get Essie because of their color selection and how smooth their formula is, but this was my first time trying the gel line. This gel polish goes on really smooth and has pretty colors. I got Paisley the Way and gel top coat together. I recommend getting both to get the polish to last the longest. It didn't chip for almost 2 weeks! That's a lifetime for me. Normal polish usually flakes in less than 5 days for me. This is my new go to line for sure!

I love this new polish! it last about a week, I'm rough with my hands too, I washes my hands a lot...you just have to cover the edges well with the top coat so it won't chip easily. It drys up pretty fast, easy to use with a very nice brush. I also use a nail hardener as a base coat...best nail polish I've encounter that don't need UV light

I really like wearing just this on my nails to give a subtle, classy look. Only problem is you need a good few coats or it looks patchy.

I received this polish as a sample. I couldn't wait to try it out. It went on smooth and easy, and gave enough time to correct any mistakes before drying. I put on the top coat right away. It went on as easy as the color coat. The drying time seemed a little quicker than other polishes. I would recommend trying this product. I loved it!
