essie gel couture nail polish, brilliant brocades collection, jewels and jacquard only, 0.46 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this product to the test by applying the top coat to my left hand and putting only nail polish on my right hand. As you can see, there is a drastic difference. The top coat increases the longevity of nail polish immensely, and I also feel like it strengthened my nails. It applied very easily, the applicator made the process stress free. The brush helped me give my nails a more concise and gel-like finish. Not to mention, I think the packaging is precious and holds a fair amount of product. I intend on buying another bottle once I run out of the one I have currently that I received free for testing purposes.

I am a very busy barista/waitress at a small coffee shop so the wear on my nails after one day of work is about the same as 3-5 days of not working. This topcoat is amazing when paired with Essie gel couture colors, and lasts ALL DAY with little to no chipping and peeling!! I do have a complaint though, but it's not about the topcoat itself. My brush appears to be cut wrong, shot on the sides and regular length in the center. It's not impossible to use, but it sure is frustrating. This is the only Essie out of 70+ I've purchased that has had this problem.

This is an excellent top coat! It dries super fast and it is super shiny. I was given a sample to try from PINCHme, which I used along with the Essie Luxurious Couture Color in a coral shade called "On The List." (#210). Because this process does not require a UV or LED light, in just 5 minutes you can have a fabulous gel manicure! Save your money honey, and skip the salon this week...The results are that good! I did not use any base coat, and I used 3 coats of color (directions say to use only 2) followed by 1 coat of the GelCouture top coat and I could not be any happier with the results. The formula of the polish lays down nicely on the nail and also fills in ridges and bumps very, very well ensuring that you get a smooth glass-like look when you are done. The top coat dries really fast, reducing the change of the dreaded smudge. I am so impressed with this system and I will be checking out all the colors in this line next time I am shopping for nail colors.

This was my first time trying Essie gel polish —previously, I had only ever used their regular nail varnish. I applied it, and was satisfied to find that, both the gel, and top coat lasted for at least a week and a half. No chipping!! This made me very happy, as normally with regular nail polish, I am constantly having to repaint them (I am a Flight Attendant, so our nails always have to look en pointe). I am very satisfied with these, and am definitely looking forward to trying some of their other spring gel colors, love it!!! *I received this product free for testing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best topcoat I've used hands down! I can't say enough good things about it. It makes your nails look so shiny and smooth, it has a gel like finish as the name implies. I've worn this paired with the gel couture nail polish in pinned up and it doesn't chip no matter how rough I am with doing dishes or house cleaning. I've never had a nail polish last longer than about two days before I have major chipping and so far it's been four days and I don't have any signs of chipping, they look as good as the first day I painted them. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone! It's this best! I received this product free for testing purposes.

The applicator is thick and applies the top coat very easily. The finish is shiny and even and I feel like I spent 30 minutes in a asking even though I did it in less than 10 minutes on my couch! It also dries pretty quickly which means I'm not worrying about messing up my nails! I would definitely recommend this top coat and will be buying again!

I love this nail polish last longer than any other nail polish. The colors are fantastic and I really really love this brand of nail polish. I will buy this nail polish over and over again. In fact I have four bottles in my cart four delivery this week.

Ok, I see someone else has posted about this as well. There is a really weird thing with the brush. It's covered in what I can only describe as clumps in balls all over the brush. I tried using it anyway, but it left streaks on the color below

I was excited to try it since I've always been a huge Essie fan, but I was super bummed at the results. It looked beautiful and applied so well, which is why I'm giving it two stars. The applicator was amazing, I always have trouble painting my nails and this made it flawless. But a few hours later, I was washing dishes and my nails started PEELING OFF WHOLE like they were sticker decals. I was really really bummed since I had spent so much time painting my nails and following the directions, only to have half my nails peel off while doing a task as simple as dishes a few hours later. *I was not paid or compensated for this review*

My nails looked great at first and for about a day or two, but by day three they were chipping badly. I put two coats of color and one coat of top polish on exactly as instructed. I have tried this with multiple colors of this polish. Unfortunately, it does not last as long as advertised.
