I booked a last minute holiday, had my nails done with a very neutral colour to make things less noticeable for breakage and growth …. so my toes were open to colour! Chose Play Date at the airport, what an amazing colour, not in your face, subtle, classy and blends with virtually everything, plus looks great with a tan. Love Love Love it. I would say it's slightly darker than showing on here, a bit more of a lilac than a pinky tone. Very glossy and just looks amazing just as good as having them done but less than half the price. I would definitely recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it! It's perfect for my blank nails if I want french tips! It goes on smooth and is pigmented with one coat! It also dries pretty fast as well which I love! So far my nails have lasted a while too so it has good wear! Gonna get some other colors because it's honestly really good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not the best at painting nails as you can see from the photo but the color is good. It wasn't too thin but did have to apply a second layer. The polish held pretty well with a clear top coat with no chipping and dried pretty fast.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of a clean white manicure. Unfortunately this one wasn't my favorite. I tried it a few times and it applied streaky which is unlike the Essie formula I know. It took multiple coats to get the opacity I wanted. I think this might work better as a nail art shade. It also seemed to chip pretty quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know white nail polishes are usually thicker because of the pigment, and this one was no exception. The formula felt very thick and streaky, making it hard apply thin, even coats. The brush also left visible lines, and thicker coats took long time to dry. Unfortunately, white polishes are usually more trouble than they're worth for me.
Awful brand polish does not dry at all even after an hour of letting it sit meaning if you do anything the polish will clump and you will have to do all your nails again awful products do not buy
I, too, am disappointed with the color change. I'm also disappointed with the generic answers I see from Essie. For the sake of greed and profit, Essie has changed a classic staple product. It used to be a subtle natural pink, now it's giving cheap bubble gum pink. Since I don't want to be let down again, I am finished trying any more colors.
Mademoiselle used to be my “go to” color. It was the perfect nude (similar to Essie's long discontinued Adore-a-ball), not too pink, not too beige, and I wore it all the time. Then the color changed. It's now way too pink, and I hate it. I'm so disappointed that despite feedback from many loyal users, Essie has not seen fit to change it back to the perfect color it was. If you're going to introduce a new color, don't destroy a customer favorite - just call it something else. And please bring back the old color, even if you are using a new formulation. Making the argument that a color change is the result of a new formulation rather than owning up to the fact that you made a deliberate change to the color is insulting.
In my recent purchase of this shade “bikini so teeny” I am really disappointed as the shade is changed under the same name. This is one of my favourite blues so it is always in my collection. But a total different shade of blue not even close to original. Disappointing!!!
Truly a disappointment in colour. Had to buy it online but it is way more brown then the milky maeve I was so looking forward to. Why can you not display your colours accurately. Please don't say it's about the way it's downloaded cos it's not. Very deceiving
