I have used this product for years. As a topcoat over traditional nail polish, it dries fast and keeps the fingernails shiny and chip-free for up to a week. I love the product!
What good is a good nail polish if it's just to chip within hours of applying? And that has happen to me before. I have also bought top coats that actually remove a thin layer of polish leaving the tips light. And they take forever to harden! But not with Essie To Go-it dies in seconds and I can get on with my night. Well worth the money! The base coat is just is good. What it with the all-in one nail polish? You just put it on , it has the base coat, color and top coat all in one bottle. Not me-I want a 3 step process for healthy nails and a polish that will last more then I day! Thanks Esslie
This is my first time using Essie brand and I will definitely be a loyal customer going forward! I used mademoiselle with the good to go top coat. Let me just say...I really put it to the test! I put two coats of color and the top coat then immediately went to the gym. 5 minutes to get there, 3 miles on the treadmill, 30 minutes of lifting, and a shower later...my nails were perfect! The picture is AFTER all that! Of course, you have to be careful the first few minutes. But thats it!! Just a few minutes and you're good! Thank you, Essie for giving me back some time in my busy life.
I find Essie Top Coat Good To Go to be ny far the best, long lasting and effective nail polish top coat. Works like a charm! I have always struggled with keeping my nailpolish lasting more than 2 hours without chipping, tried differe Top coats, base coats wtc.... nothing worked. I work in retail and my hands are always bisy, always grabbing things, folding, taking them on and off... finishing my manicure with this top coat finally made my nail polish last 3 whole days before it started chipping! Which is a victory for me. Amazing product, highly recommended!! Thanks, Essie!
This top coat is a LIFE CHANGER. I will never use a regular top coat ever again, and for those of you who still are you are doing yourself a disservice. I paint my own nails 2-3 times a week and just don't have time to sit around still for hours while my nails dry. This top coat literally dries your nails completely in about 5 minutes. Let your color coats dry slightly in between and you will be "good to go" about your normal life within minutes. I buy this for all of my friends because this is a beauty product that needs to be shared with the world. I have at least two bottles at all times because I'm scared to be without it! Thank you Essie!!
I have been buying good to go for a while, and I'm very happy with it. I can put the one extra layer of polish on I sometimes need, and good to go still dries my nails fast and shiny. It sure does take a lot of the trouble of smudges out. My only concern is that the polish gets pretty thick about halfway through the bottle, so I'm often stuck buying a new one before the old one is finished. To be honest though, it's such a help in the long run that I don't much mind.
ugh! I will admit I ignored the bad reviews. Nowadays you just can't trust people because they get paid. I got to tell you I normally love Essie nail polish, but this stuff is garbage! It literally chips within one day and then you have to start all over again. It's also very thick, so no matter how thin you make the coat it leaves a clumpy "gloop" at your cuticles. I will never buy this stuff again.
The topcoat I've always used was reformulated, so I decided to search for a new dedicated brand. Essie always has seemed great, so I got a bottle of Good to Go. I painted my nails, let them dry completely before applying quite a thick layer of top coat--and, as always, sealed it with a swipe on the edge of my nails as well. Waited two hours, went to bed. This morning, I washed my hair--nails were perfect. In the middle of the day, after washing my hands twice, I noticed a chip in one nail. By the end of the work day, there were chips on multiple nails, and not even mostly on my dominant hand. What a waste! I'm going to have to take off all my polish and search for a new product.
I'm having such bad experiences with this top coat. Yes it dries quickly but it chips very next day and then the polish peels off nail in one piece! I use essie smooth-e as a base coat and essie lacquer. My nails were clean and dry prior to application. I've used this top coat for at least 5 manicures and I get the same result each time. I'm not sure why I keep trying.
I will never buy this brand of top coat again. Ever since the change of formula, this product got a lot 'cheaper' in quality for the same price. When applied, it chips within a day! It removes all the day polish and peels in pieces. It even peels the nail polish that has glitter sparkles on it, that takes forever to remove with acetone. I decided to put it to the test and use Essie top coat on my left hand and sally hensen top coat on my right hand. Of course, the one on my left hand peeled within a day. Im 5 days in, and the polish to my right is still intact. Never wasting my money on this polish again.
