Estes Alpha rockets typically retail by the ones for about $25. But you can get a 12 pack for about $*********. I needed 5 rockets. Without Walmart, I would have bought the 12 pack (and wondered what to do with the remaining 7). With Walmart, I saved money and was able to purchase only what I needed.

Fun and affordable rockets
These rockets are great! My kids use them for Cub scouts rocket day! They fit nice and high and the bigger engines let them get even more height. A super fun toy and kit for the whole family to enjoy.

You can't go wrong with an Estes product. They have been doing this for around 60 years.

5 star rocket, poorly packaged for shipping
The 4 stars is for how this all averages out. It's a 5 star product thatwas packaged for shipping in the most abysmally stupid way, so 1 star there, and then 5 star customer service for trying to make things right. Hopefully the replacement that's on its way was packaged properly for shipping. The first one was shipped in a paper envelope. Upon opening said envelope, the cardboard body tube of the rocket was clearly damaged. It was no longer cylindrical. It looked more like a plastic party kazoo. For a model rocket that is supposed to be built into something that gets launched into the air at high speed, that's not good. Nor is the fact that some of the balsa wood stabilizing fins were damaged in transit as well. Other similar products we have ordered from other retailers arrived intact in cardboard boxes, with sufficient padding/filler inside the box. The rocket itself is an awesome, classic build. Everything looked to be manufactured well. It just needs to be put in sturdier packaging for shipping. Though clearly disappointed, the kids were good sports about the situation and are looking forward to building this when the replacement arrives. After navigating the customer service chat bot and getting an allegedly human customer service rep, making arrangements for a replacement went smoothly. I specified that shipping it in a box would be better. We will see how that turns out. A Walmart associate wrote this review.
