Ethique Cream Body Cleanser Bar - Lime & Lemongrass - 3.7oz

I love this, I'm going to be buying it as long as it's in production. I've never used a non-soap body bar before, and I was an instant convert. Seriously, one wash was enough to feel a difference. My skin is soft and clean, and the smell is very delicate and I enjoyed it quite a bit. No, it doesn't lather. And no, I don't think I care any more about that. Who needs lather anyway? What's it doing for you, sis? The bar lasts longer than the exfoliant bars and not as long as the shampoo bars. I've had this bar for about a month and I would expect it to last maybe one more, perhaps a month and a half longer. I think that's probably pretty normal, and quite a bit better when compared to liquid soaps/body washes.

I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH!!! I really hate bar soap because of how dry and squeaky my skin feels after wards. I even bought the small tester green one similar to this that is not the cream cleanser to compare. I do not like that one. This one turned me into a bar soap person!!! The cream makes your skin/ legs silky smooth and isn���t dehydrated after getting out of the shower. I also use it to shave as it adds that smooth silky feel to shaving, compared to the queakier movements of soap without cream. I use to use conditioner to shave which is already a hot commodity since my hair is over 2 feet long, so I needed to find a product that kept me from using up my hair product so quickly. It smells amazing! (you may have to love lemongrass) I hate bar hand soap but I may use this as hand soap as well! Hoping it will help with dry winter hands.

I���m VERY picky about bodywash bars/soaps. Every one I���ve ever tried has, to some degree, given me a squeaky clean feeling after rinsing that just doesn���t happen with regular bodywash. Sadly, that includes all the Ethique ones I���ve tried- even the sweet orange and vanilla creme bodywash bar. But I love this scent, so I took a chance�Ķ �ĶAnd I���m so glad I did! It lathers just the tiniest bit, so you can actually see how much you���re using, which I love. It smells AMAZING and feels luxurious. And while it still gives me a little bit of that squeakiness, it does so less than anything else I���ve tried. I hope to see more scents in this new formula.

I received a mini size of the Lime & Lemongrass Body Cleanser as a free sample in my Ethique order. I thought it was a cool bonus to sample products in the line, but was pleasantly surprised by how much I adore the little bar! For some context: My skin type is dry and sensitive. Ever since I was a child, most body cleansers are so drying and irritating that they cause havoc on my skin -- red rashes, itchy patches, inflammation, scaly-ness. Rich, nourishing shower creams have been my only safe option (e.g. the liquid oil cleansers that gently foam once worked into the skin). I've flirted with bars soaps and solid cleansers over the years, as well as traditional shower gels, but all of them caused the same issues. This is the only solid option that has ever worked for me. Besides for agreeing with my dry, sensitive skin, this bar is cosmetically elegant. I'm used to relatively bubble-less cleansers, so to me, this baby can work into a nice lather, just in the palm of my hands. The solid option is eco friendly. There is no waxy residue or "clingy" feeling that makes water bead off of the skin after use. It is truly nourishing. The scent is also pleasant, a nice lemon lime. As for the drawbacks, I wish this body cleanser came in more fragrance options. I appreciate seeing a fragrance free one (I'll pick that up if I ever get bad psoriasis or eczema flares again). However, the only other scent I see is an orange vanilla, and it is currently sold out. For me, fragrance is part of the luxury body care experience, and at over $10/bar, I'd like some more options. Vanilla almond or cherry almond would be DIVINE, especially in this creamy, supple formula. Thinking about who I'd recommend this to, I think it would work for most people. People who struggle with oily skin or unusually strong body odor may need a stronger soap to treat their bodies, particularly in hot or humid seasons. But other than that, I can see this working for sensitive, reactive, allergy-prone, dry, normal, combo, ashy, and aging skin types. Personally, I still need to follow this up with a body moisturizer, but I'd guess there are normal skin folks who, if they swapped to this, could skin the body creams altogether. It's definitely worth picking this up for yourself or tossing into a few stockings this holiday season. I'll certainly be putting a few bars into my next purchase.

I absolutely love this bar. The smell is fresh and lovely, it suds plenty for me even though it says it's low sudsing. I live in the mountains of Colorado where the air is dry and the winters are so long. This bar doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or itchy. It actually feels softer than it ever has. Definitely give it a try.

When I saw the new release email from Ethique about this product I was keen to try this new bar! It has a great smell, glides over your skin easily, the square shape of the bar is easy to hold and you get a creamy light lather when you work the product in. Now, this product wont give bubbles or much lather like the bodywash bars, but I didn't miss that! A great product, great scent.

Years ago I gave up bar soaps because they dried out my skin. I thought I���d tried them all! This is the only body bar that does not dry my skin out! After showering, I feel fresh, clean, and comfortable. I moisturize when I choose to not because I have too.

My husband and I both like this body bar for how it moisturizes almost like you've put lotion on your skin, but without the heaviness. We live in a hot, usually quite humid climate, and this is perfect for us. It rinses clean, yet leaves the "sailor's skin" on my husband's arms a little softer. I tend to have dry skin, and I can see and feel the difference, more supple and moisturized.

I am prone to eczema and so avoid soap and have always used the most innocuous, unscented 'dermatologist recommended' body wash. This was lovely on my skin, no dryness or irritation, and it made really fun lather. Only downside is it disappeared quite fast for the price. I love lime scent but had to get used to the lemongrass!

I think the lemongrass fragrance irritates my skin because it seems like my armpits are super itchy after I use this bar. I also have a hard time washing off deodorant with this bar, which I don't appreciate. I don't totally hate it, I've definitely had worse soap experiences, and I still use it sometimes when I don't have anything else on hand, but I definitely won't get another one and might try to trade it for a different bar with one of my roommates.
