Eucalan Fine Fabric Wash 1gal-Eucalyptus

I like wool washes in lieu of dry cleaning. I especially like the eucalyptus scent of Eucalan. I prefer the no rinse option to retain the scent, which should act as a mild deterrent to moths and carpet beetles in conjunction with my other warm weather storage precautions. Wool washing is a bit of an art. I only do hand washing and air drying. Machine washing and drying instructions are available on the internet, but machine agitation introduces extra concerns. Even with hand washing, some garments fade significantly so don't wash items together and two, be careful if you want no fading. Most wool will only darken the wash water slightly and some not at all. Wool can be brushed and spot cleaned to avoid frequent laundering which slows the fading process. I like how wool avoids odor build-up and can be easily freshened by hanging outside. What I most like is how I can reshape wet wool to conform to my physique. I do this in several ways, by drying flat or tugging, or simply by how wet I allow the wool to be when I hang it and by how I allow/angle the wet wool's own weight to stretch the garment lengthwise or crosswise. Be careful about wringing or allowing the wool to dry with creases. Shape it well when wet to get good dry results. Keep in mind that zippers, seams and liners limit shaping options. And flat drying is a must to avoid accidental reshaping. Do not use warm/hot water and limit agitation as both can force wool to tighten into felt. Agitation also leads to pilling. Brushing wool with a good clothes brush between washings not only keeps it cleaner, it reverses pilling. Lastly, wool directly against the skin can itch. I find I get used to it in a few minutes and give it no further notice. I LOVE the feel of a wool blanket on the other side of good cotton sheet. For me wool care is a labor of love. Best wool wash and actually delicate wash. So happy to find it in a gallon jug.
