This is a great camera with clear video, even in the dark. Walmart's price is unbeatable and for a new camera, its about the same as others sell refurbished units so Walmart for the win

Great product for the price. Easy to install and use. Abit of a delay when watching videos or watching direct feed(like a few seconds)but otherwise keeps me in the know when it comes to security around my house. The solar powered battery keeps it charged all day n night so no need for charging or having to plug it in manually. I have the doorbell too. Eufy products are awesome! Highly recommend for budget security cameras.

It's only been a couple of days. I cannot recommend this camera yet. On paper, it's exactly what I want, at an affordable price. I think most of the trouble is the app. I'm also having motion detection issues, the range of motion detection is really short and possibly faulty. It's possible that my field of view is too large. Maybe this camera is meant for monitoring a smaller space. The camera has internal storage, but doesn't seem to record if it doesn't have a WiFi connection. I'm going to continue setting it up for the rest of the week, but I suspect I might have to return this unit for a model that can record more consistently.

These cameras are horrible. I can walk in front of them and won't get any alerts. They stay offline most of the time. I wish i could return them. The pictures are clear when they work.

camera and apps too basic, must be an early generation. Difficult to set up. I expect the camera to detect, turn on light and take photos or video. Not so, very disappointed.

I have the S230 and the S40 almost side by side, creating an interlocking field of coverage. Heights are the same, angles are the same, but the S40 struggles to connect and stay connected to the wifi, it's not interference. The S40 misses the same target objects the S240 easily records. To be honest, I thought I ordered another S240 and the little bit of information and comparison online says they're the same camera with the same features. eufy is made by Anker who happens to be frustrating to work with. The Anker customer support will lie to you, not answer questions, and immediately redirects the conversation to purchase another one of their many products. Anker will not accept returns or replacement, but Anker customer support will offer you a coupon for 20% off your next purchase.

Yes I bought the S40 three years ago but it should last longer than that. The inbuilt solar panel doesn't work and the front is discoloured to a tan colour. I've plugged it into a solar panel and the charge rate can't keep up with the demands of the camera. Given the solar panel is 3w and bigger than the inbuilt one, I feel like it might be because there is fundamentally something wrong with the camera as well as the inbuilt solar panel. Not impressed with this particular Eufy item but the other products have been great. Just disappointed. Suggest avoid buying.

Solar panel cant charge battery enough, will lose 12-15% battery every day will need to climb a ladder and take down the camera to charge about every 2weeks making it completely useless for its design and premium price tag.
