I am reviewing the Eureka FloorRover Versatile Upright Vacuum NEU560. This vacuum looks a little "clunky", but that does not affect the performance of this machine. It is a bit heavy, but the large wheels let you control it as if it weighed almost nothing. The suction of this vacuum is outstanding. It makes where I vacuumed before with my older vacuum look as if I missed many layers of dust, or just didn't vacuum at all. I thought my carpet was clean, and then I used the floor rover , Wow! where did all that come from? The floor rover navigates so easy, it gets into hard to reach places with no problem. If you cannot reach a spot, the many attachments allow you to clean anywhere that might need it. I especially like the pet hair attachment. (I have 2 dogs) I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner!
First thing I noticed about this vacuum was the color scheme of it :) It's quite unusual to see the color white on any vacuum. Have never seen that for the 62 yrs I've been on this planet, that's for sure. But it also has alot of accents of rose gold look paint finish as well as a bright yellow on the important parts to draw your attention. Although at first I though the addition of the bright yellow plastic piece to give a garrish appearance, it's actually a pretty smart thing. You don't have to be spending wasted time in looking all over for the button to release the handle so you can begin vacuuming the floor or the button to select to use the hose and various attachments for that, or to turn on the brush roller. As anyone who's done alot of vacuuming knows, you run into problems when vacuuming on hard floors. If the beater bar/brush roller is rotating while vacuuming, it will generally spit whatever you are trying to clean up all over the place instead of sucking it up into the vacuum. However, now Eureka has designed this vacuum so that you can elect to turn off the brush roller and just use the suction aspect of the vacuum. This picks up the dirt and debris cleanly and efficiently. I mean, who wants to spend their time vacuuming a floor when the vacuum spits everything all over the place and you have to keep going over and over it? This is actually as efficient as using a dry mop or broom on bare flooring. Personally, I'm in a wheelchair and so it's much easier for me to manuever a vacuum that to wrestle with a broom and dustpan. I also appreciate that this vacuum is remarkably lighter weight than other vacuums of the same style and motor strength. That will definitely save wear and tear on your shoulder joints! Now the "dust cup" is very large, much larger than other vacuums of this caliber. That's really going to come in handy if you are doing alot of vacuuming in your day, or a large area that needs to be cleaned. The filters on this vacuum are quite impressive as well. There are 3 of them: a pre-motor filter, a foam filter, and also a large HEPA filter, all easily cleaned and reuseable. However, make sure that you let the filters that you've cleaned under running water, dry completely for at least 24 hours before re-inserting and using the vacuum. Do not attempt to use the vacuum without all of the filters in their place. I must mention that for me, in a wheelchair, it's rather tricky for me to reach the HEPA filter as you have to release the handle completely and lay the vacuum out flat so that you can have easy access to the filter area. Not impossible at all, just very tricky for someone in a wheelchair or who may have a hard time bending down. I must mention also that I'm super impressed with the fact that they include in the box, a separate baggie with an extra brushroll replacement rubber belt and very good instructions with concise pictures on how to replace that belt. I've bought a ton of vaccums in my life and I've never had an extra belt be included in the package! As far as the assembly of this vacuum, it was quick and easy. Only tool that was needed was a Phillips Head screwdriver for the one metal screw that is included for the handle attachment to the body of the vacuum. I imagine you could substitute a small coin if you didn't have a screwdriver handy but don't quote me on that :) Although I really enjoyed using this vacuum, I wasn't thrilled with the noise level of this machine. Although it's quite powerful motor sucks up very nicely all the dirt you can give it, it's quite loud in comparison to my other vacuums. Not horrendously loud by any means, just loud enough so that there is no mistaking the fact to anyone in the same house, that you are indeed vacuuming. Don't expect to hear a doorbell while this machine is on :) All in all, I think this is a great vacuum. Not some little fly by night unit for quickie touch ups, but this bad boy will really clean your floors and carpets like no other! Very powerful motor and lots of attachments and great color scheme as well, yet light weight. What more could you ask? Great for anyone who's serious about deep cleaning!
This Eureka Floor Rover is by far the most powerful vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and in my 60 plus years I have owned a few! It was very easy to assemble and as I took it out of box my wife was putting it together and it only involves one screw for the handle and snapping on the attachments and "eureka" it was ready to go! It is very stylish with "racing" wheels and a cool white main color with buttons and knobs in orange that really stand out. Most of the main knobs and buttons, such as on/off are stamped with what they control, which until you get to know machine are very helpful. Swivel steering is awesome and easy to control direction of vacuum. The brushroll has a blue light when turning correctly and turns red if clogged. Easy to take apart if it is a major clog. Simple to empty dust cup and very user friendly in all aspects. It has a multi cyclone filtering system which means you never lose suction and all filters are washable and reusable after drying. The plug in cord is 30 feet long which gives you a big coverage area before having to unplug and move. The three attachments included are a telescoping crevice tool with a brush on the end which is very handy and easily moved out of the way if not wanted. A pet turbo brush that opens for cleaning out pet hair from roller and a two in one upholstery brush that has a felt portion for delicate surfaces, that by a press of the thumb lifts out of the way. There are other attachments available for purchase if wanted. One of the best features is the five year warranty under normal use. Highly recommend this vacuum.
The assembly of this vacuum is super easy to put together. Snap the handle into place and put in only one screw, snap on accessories, and load the cord on and you are ready to go. So easy peasy!! I love that this Eureka Rover Vacuum NEU560 sort of pulls itself once it starts moving and that is because of the large and flexible wheel. It maneuvers in and around things and under too like some vacuums but does a much better job sucking things up. It doesn't leave any dirt behind. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and by pulling itself it takes a load off my hands as far as pushing and pulling. This vacuum has superb suction, powerful both on carpets and floors. It self-adjusts from floors to carpets. It has a dual manual switch for thicker carpets and also for the accessory tools as well. This is really an excellent vacuum. It has a strong and powerful motor which provides a powerful suction. It is designed so that all fine dust and dirt stays at the bottom of the bag-less canister. That means it will not be flying through the air. See in the picture of canister. The accessories all fit on board so you have them right there when you need them. This will save you so many steps during vacuuming your home. I love it. The Pet Turbo brush is awesome for cleaning hair and other things off the sofa and chairs. I have a large sectional and lots of crumbs when the grandkids are here. It took care of that so fast and effortlessly. I love it. I don't have pets but if I did there would be no hair left on the couch. If the suction on the Pet Brush is too much for your sofa or chairs it has an adjustable slide lever to slow the suction down…such a nice feature and one I have never seen on any other vacuum. It has washable filters and is so easy to dump the canister and to clean it up after using. This actually has 3 filters and that is amazing. If cleaned after using that will prolong the life of this vacuum and make it last a whole lot longer. This vacuum has a 35 foot cord and I love that! I only have to plug it in one time and I can complete my whole house before I need to unplug. I would say if you're looking for a versatile, powerful vacuum that will actually get the dirt out of and off of multiple surfaces and I do mean get the dirt gone and is extremely easy to use then try this Eureka Rover Vacuum. This vacuum will save me time from not having to go over everything 4-5 times to get it clean but save me money in bags as well. Give it a try, I think you will really be happy with it. The only draw-back I could find with it is it is really a sort of heavy vacuum but I think all the features above make this vacuum worth it to me.
The vacuum was well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. It assembles in minutes with only one screw. I was considering a canister vacuum rather than an upright since most of my floors are solid surface but I get so annoyed by having to lift them over their cord while in use. The super large wheels caught my eyes right off when I selected it. They glide easily over the cord and it is amazingly maneuverable. I have two wall-to-wall carpeted bedrooms which I feel an upright is necessary for. In my mind they harbor dust mites and dirt. Well, this vacuum has the suction to eliminate that concern, especially with aid of the HEPA filters. The economical operation with it being bagless and the washable filters is appreciated. The ease of emptying the clear canister and the 35 foot cord makes my cleaning job easier. Even though the suction is amazing, it is easy to operate on the carpet without bothering my back. It is lightweight compared to the high dollar vacuums I have had, weighing less than 17 pounds. Thankfully the attachments all attach to the vacuum. The 12 foot hose has a variable suction selector that makes it handy if you have delicate aluminum or plastic window blinds. The low-profile, pivoting front beater bar is wonderfully low and the front edge gets right up against baseboards or furniture to get all the dust. It was a surprise to be furnished with an extra belt for the beater-bar. It is such a pain to find a vendor for a replacement belt when one breaks, no matter if it is years later but especially while it is brand new. The only “cons” might be the lack of a front light and a cord re-winder.
I bought this unit for several reasons. I had an older model that stopped working after 12 years of service and the Hover that my mother gave me just would not pick up the dog hair that well. I researched different vacuums till I ran across a personal video review that showed this units sucking power up close vs the Hover. You could actually see the rice moving toward the vacuum 6" ahead of the vacuum. This unit is smaller and lighter than its predecessor with MORE power, easier canister removal, and better suction. I vacuumed my house on Monday morning with the Hover because the Eureka was coming on Thursday. I re-vacuumed my house with the Eureka upon arrival and it sucked up 4 canisters of dirt and dog hair just from the carpet. The units power cord is plenty long to clean all 4 rooms. I plunged into the living room and vacuumed to the left of the room into the parlor, into the foraw then backtracked to the pug. Now vacuuming to the right into the dining room, into the kitchen, then around the corner into the bathroom. This is no small house 2080 sq ft. The unit glides nicely around tables and chairs. But to bulky to fit under the coffee table because it does not lay flat. The dog roller brush works great, cleaned up all hair off my sofa and chairs. Handle extension is a bit clumsy to use but will get use to it. I miss the retractable cord of the old unit but the cord storage is as any other out there. Like the fact that there is NO REAL foot button to press to lower the unit to start vacuuming. Just push the power button place your foot on the vacuum head for leverage pull down on the handle and go. So you foot can be anywhere on the vacuum to pull down the handle left-right doesn't matter. The price is right for the unit. Other that don't work cost more. It is nice to have a clean house again. Love this vacuum.
The unit snaps together quickly from the box with only one screw to attach the handle to it. And everyone comments on how pretty this vacuum is. The power button is on the right side of the vacuum which is very convenient, and there is also an on/off switch for the brush roll which is nice when you are using the hose with attachments. Another convenient feature is the clear top over the brush roller that allows you to easily see if hair has become wound around the brush. The hose for the attachments fits on the unit and is held in place in the handle area, so you always have it handy with just a button to change from floor to the hose right by the on/off switch. There are also attachments, which conveniently store on the vacuum, like a dusting brush and a very nice, long, adjustable crevice tool with a switch allowing you to control the suction power. This vacuum has tremendous suction power, and it does an excellent job on bare floors and rugs. It is extremely easy to clean; the dust canister pops off easily to empty into the trash, and the washable filter is a breeze to clean. The cord is quite long which makes it nice to not have to unplug a lot to get larger areas. The only minor negative is it's not a push-button self-winding cord. This is an easy vacuum to maneuver due to its roller ball base, but it is somewhat heavy to pick up so may no be ideal for hauling up and down stairs. All in all this is one of the best vacuums that I've ever used. (My family members tease me for owning so many vacuum cleaners; a bit OCD about my floors.) I am definitely a fan of this model and recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, powerful vacuum!!
This really has some power ! I vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner and emptied a quarter filled cup. Then I used this vacuum and got another half a cup or so! Great attachments and telescope hose. I have a dog and cats. There was so much hair in the cup! The only draw back for me was that it is heavy. Great pivoting and reall goes from carpet to bare wood without even noticing. Easy cleanup and washable filter. I like this vacuum a lot.
I am a product tester and reviewer with the SPARK 2.0 Program and had the pleasure of testing and reviewing this months selection of the Eureka FloorRover Versatile Upright Vacuum NEU560. I will note right from the top for me, as a woman with a lot of Medical Issues this was a bit heavy to use for too long. But with that being said my husband LOVES it. We both see the cleaning power it has. Our other vacuum while good and also made especially to pick up the animal fur and hair wasn't anywhere near as effective as this was. I allowed for 3 days of Cat hair to build up. Usaually we vacuum once to twice a day, my husband with our regular animal hair vacuum and me with the Shark Stick Vac that is quite good at picking up on floors and low pile carpeting. So thoes 72 hours we allowed Peanuts hair to fly free. Very hard for us indeed. We used the new Eureka Floor Rover Upright and O M GOODNESS it was a dream come true. My husband equated it to when your mowing the lawn and you can not only see the difference in the height of the grass but the "lines" it makes. Yes we love the simple but oh so important things in life. So as to not forget the feeling and seeing it for ourselves we then went again for 72 hours without vacuuming. Even harder the second time around. BUT to my dismay (and I guess also a bit of Oh I am not so surprised) while using our other vacuum in the usual way...not such a high was had. Actually it didn't do much. We , as usual went over the same areas to get the hair up and still kept finding that we needed to go back. So my husband suggested that we use the new Eureka. I can not believe even after seveal times going over the house with our old vacuum that the Eurkea was picking up so much. Final count is 1 con-weight many pros- pick up. ease of emptying the canister cup. beautiful -yes this baby is beautiful especially if you love Rose Gold as I do and versitility. Has attachments that work well on the stiars , furniture and in the cabinets. I would have love to give this 5 stars but the weight just made it so I couldn't . Even with that being said I really think that for the pirce of this vacuum your getting quite a bargain.
I do like this vacuum, it is VERY powerful, much more than my previous Shark vacuum, it turns nicely around corners, the attachments store nicely on board and are all easy to use. That being said it does have some faults, and for me the biggest is the weight, although the brush roll is quite powerful and "pulls" the vacuum along, it is still heavy to hold (especially going across thick carpet), I think it is around 20 lb's which may not sound like a lot, but if you are trying to vacuum your stairs it is a pain, just using the hose although it stretches quite far I found I always had to stay close to the vacuum or it would tip over. Another thing to note is how bulky it is, although it turns smoothly around corners it is just too big to fit under or around any tight spaces. Right out of the box the vacuum was easy to assemble, all you have to attach is the handle, then add on the attachment tools. I do recommend this vacuum if you are looking for power without paying big bucks on one of those more expensive brands, but if you are someone who needs a light weight and easy to handle vacuum this is not for you.
