Euro Cuisine PER12 Electric Percolator - 12 Cups

I love my Euro Cuisine Percolator. My coffee is so good in the morning now. It does a wonderful job for us. We love it.

It better than other brand of coffee maker.

As of April 29th, we're in possession of a GREAT percolator; used it for the 1st time this AM. It's superior to the Cuisinart PRC12 (our previous unhappy purchase) in every way but one and that's the slightly raised lip around spout opening inside the Euro-Cuisine preventing ALL fluids draining, leaving a small bit left. It's fluid measurements are spot on (makes way more coffee than the PRC12). LOVE the interior %26 it promises to clean easily. See thru level indicator under handle. On/off switch %26 detachable 3 prong power cord. 3 yr warranty And, and, and... YES, a very solid GLASS knob on lid. (The Cuisinart said it was glass %26 it's plastic AND has a reputation of breaking if you use it to raise lid [imagine eyes rolling]). Ok, so it's made in China...we love it. Hope you try %26 buy

It's can hold 12 cups but the basket that you put the coffee in holds maybe enough ground coffee for 8 cups. The unit has no adjustment for how long to perk, a major flaw. Because the perk time is insufficient, you must use a lot of ground coffee to get an acceptable strength. The pot holds the brewed coffee at an appropriate temperature. For the price it's not worth it.

As other reviews state, it makes 8 cups as apposed to 12 and the coffee is only hot when it's freshly made. It keeps the "hot-ish/warmer than warm" - meaning, you won't have to worry about burning your mouth. I suppose this could be a "bonus" as hours later you can have a cup of great tasting "unburnt" coffee - but doesn't work for me. I like my coffee temperature to be on the edge of lava. The beautiful copper finish that enticed me to buy this brand of electric percolator is specking and peeling - coming right off the spout and around the edges at the top. So, after 1.5 years it's looking beaten up and ratty. When I replace it, I'll be looking for another copper coloured percolator but I won't be buying this brand. Note: This Percolator has been used every single day since it was purchased and it still works as well as the day it was purchased. This is why I'm giving it 3 stars. I have photos if the system allows me to upload them.

Makes good coffee but not very hot

Pros: 1.) Beautiful item. 2.) Makes a nice cup of hot coffee. Cons: 1.) no manufactures phone number to contact company with concerns of product. 2.) Puddles of coffee leak (must not fill waterline above spout.) out of spout. 3.) More like an 8 cup. 4.) Not a true 12 cup as stated.
