This bed is great! We did however have to modify a few things to allow the closet part to be on the right side. Not a big deal since a lot of the parts are solid pine. So it can be done if need be, you would just have to create more holes up top and on the desk part. We made our own ladder too. Wasn't fond of how vertical this one was and my 7yr old was a little scared to come down. Going up wasn't bad it was the getting back down. So we decided to make him a new ladder that felt more like small stairs with railing.

Took about 6 hours to put together, but totally worth it. We've had other loft beds in the past that were cheaply made, but this beds very solid and a beautiful color.

My daughter loves the bed. It's very sturdy and there's ample storage. It took a few hours to make, but it was well worth it. I recommend double checking that your doors are right side up when you're putting them on the closet.

My daughter is in love! Great quality for the price just be prepared for a project. It's not complicated just very time consuming with all of the pieces. I have a newborn so I hired someone who assembles furniture regularly to put this together and it took him 5.5 hours with someone finding him and handing him what he would need next. My only real complaint is the closet doors did not line up and one of them doesn't stay shut with the magnet as it should but this could have been an assembly error I'm not sure as I did not assemble it.

The wood quality is bad. The holes were not there in many parts. We had to manually make holes. Took a whole week to put together. Overall the result looks good. When it has the bed on top with mattress, under is very very dark. Even with a lamp hard to study. Keep that in mind. You need windows around. the cabinet door doesn't shut completely. And the drawer under broke when puttind the screws in. Color was not painted in on some parts ( creamy wood instead of grayish).
