Good loft but plan a half day to put it together.
This was a chore to put together, but it was worth it for my son. It was a gift for him as he turns 10 years old to transition to a "big kids" room and he loves it. It took about a half a day to put together, but I also had to do it by myself so if you have a helper, it could go more quickly. We installed some stick on light strips under the loft and it provides a cool space for my son to sit and work. The storage in the stairs are nice and the bed is sturdy. I can easily lay in the bed without fear of it collapsing and I am close to 200 lbs.

Overall, this bed is awesome. My kids love the slide and I appreciate them being comfortable and safe. I got this bed primarily because I preferred stairs over a ladder to climb. I also chose this bed for the storage options. I love the shelves underneath the stairs and slide. My littles have turned that space into a tiny reading nook as they've used the shelves to store some of their books. I would have preferred drawers instead of the cupboard styled storage on the stairs, but we will make it work. The slide was a bonus. Pay close attention to the instructions. I assembled the stairs and a section of the slide incorrectly and had to disassemble and reassemble them because the instructions and photos aren't great. Not fun, but it had to be done and it turned out great. I am fairly handy so it took me 2 days to assemble this bed with very minimal help.

Good for the money
Fairly easy to put together as long as you have 2 people. It's pretty sturdy for what it is. My only complaint is the desk drawers are a little small.
