I wish it had a non treated ready to stain finish without the need to be sanded. I wanted a rustic natural grey wash. It was too yellow for my existing furniture.
Amazing bed, just what I was looking for! It was a bit tricky to put together, took some critical thinking and elbow grease as the instructions are vague, like minimal words and just pics. However, if u have some patience it will come out great 😃
I love the bed just need my wood for mattress support.
This platform bed really impressed me. It is a very sturdy affordable bed that has the best instructions I've ever come across for putting together furniture. I was super happy!
The instructions were lacking but not impossible to make out. It's basically a step-by-step exploded diagram with how many of what screw for that step. The pictures themselves are slightly hard to decipher especially when it's needed to have ledge sides facing certain ways and there is no close up view of that section. Because of that, we ended up putting a section on backwards and had to tear it down and start again from the halfway point. The assembly can be frustrating. This is made easier by a second pair of hands and eyes to hopefully figure out the orientation. The slats were thin and sort of bad shape. There were grey knots throughout, chips missing and lots of glue in sections that had been pressed back together. There are 6 slats total, and three get a small 2x2x2 cube to hold up against the floor in an alternating pattern. These probably are not going to last in any shape or fashion as they started cracking as soon as we tried to push the bed 5 feet to it's final spot. It now has two boards under the slats to hopefully slow down the inevitable and we will probably be buying something like a peg board to use as a bunkie board that allows airflow. The construction of the bed is about as you'd expect. Just basic pressed wood with a veneer finish. The total weight of the box is 73 lbs, so have someone to help you lift or push it into the house. The bed I had before this was a basic metal frame that the legs fell off immediately so in comparison this is an upgrade. But if you're handy or a little bit DIY inclined, go the extra step to reinforce the slats or add extras because they are the absolute worst part about the bed. This bed does sit directly on the ground, you have about 2 inches of clearance. There is a small ledge that has already caught my foot as I walked past it so be aware of that. I'd recommend it only on sale. I'm not sure if this does go on sale but I wouldn't say it's worth the price it's currently listed as ($279). It's more of a $150-180ish value. Have a magnifying glass, a person to help, an electric screwdriver (not a drill). This was an absolute headache saver with an allen bit inserted for the screws. Be prepared to immediately replace the slats with something better or reuse your old ones if you have them.
It's cute. I love minimalist styles. It takes a little while to get used to sleeping so low to the ground, if you choose to not use a boxspring. Be sure to tighten all of the bolts a second time after a few days of use
Love this bed it was pretty easy to put together and it looks great in my space. I gave it 4 stars because it was missing some of the hardware and I ended up having to search for and buy it locally.
The bed was not snug in at a couple of corners the wood plank in the middle does not does fit the bed and is not sturdy.
This bed frame is total garbage. It's crooked, it's rickety, there are screw holes on the instructions that aren't on the wood, a couple pieces were warped, the wood frame under the mattress doesn't fit, it's noisy, etc etc. I can't think of anything I like about it besides the fact that it's a canopy bed. DO NOT BUY.
Dont buy all parts did not come
