Evan-Moor Daily 6-Trait Writing, Grade 6 Student Workbook

I am a music teacher who was asked to incorporate English RTI lessons into my 7th grade band and chorus rehearsals this year. The %delete was the answer and a complete lifesaver for me. I can project it on the screen, the students are interested and engaged, and their writing samples have all improved in the short time since we started using it. I love that the lessons are sequential, efficient, and require almost no prep time from me.

The paragraphs that the students edit are well-structured to help them develop the targeted skills. I actually begin with Sentence Fluency because that is the most difficult skill for my students. We continue all year to build on the sentence fluency foundation they developed using 6 Traits.

Evan-Moor has been a life saver in our homeschool. The practice books lend themselves to the needs of my autistic son. The "Daily" books (math, writing, language) have been more of a teaching tool than practice because they provide ample instructions, are easy to use and most important to us they are segmented so that each day is not an overwhelming amount of work. My son, who could not write at all using the traditional writing curriculums, is now able to break a writing assignment down into segments to complete it because he has learned how from the "Daily Practice" books!

I use this as a daily supplement. I have used this prior grades and have found it a great resource.

The daily use truly helps!
