If you've ever had a drink in the evening, enjoyed it, fallen asleep, or woken up in the morning with that first sip, you'll understand me. It's an extraordinary experience.
The BIB is an amazing bourbon. I work in a large spirit store and often recommend it to customers looking for a daily sipper.
I enjoy the versatile drink of this bourbon, I think that even though it's economical, the palate makes it exceptional !
I began my bourbon journey a couple years ago and have since tried hundreds of bourbons with some of them being bottom shelf value brands and others being top shelf bourbons costing in excess of $1000. When I was first trying to become educated on bourbon, one bourbon that consistently was named by aficionados as being one of the best values and underrated brands was Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. So, immediately tried it and I have constantly had a bottle on my bar since. I like it neat, but it is also my favorite for mixing an Old Fashioned. This is a sub-$20 bottle of bottle of bourbon that can easily go head to head with bourbons costing 3-4 times as much. It is just a fantastic readily available bourbon that will leave you wondering how they sell as cheaply as they do.
If this was a boxer, it would be known for hitting way above its weight class. Great flavor for sipping neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails. I am happy to pay for this bourbon because it never disappoints. It has an excellent corn flavor, light spice, perfect proof, and nice oak hints, with a solid finish.
This is one of the best bottles of bourbon that I've tried out of many! Evan Williams BIB has saved me quite a bit of money since I swapped over from WT101. This bourbon has everything that most people expect to enjoy in a high quality bottle for a fraction of the cost!!!
How are you staying in business by charging half what this bourbon is worth? Even Williams BIB has been the best value in bourbon for several years now. I love the blackberry jam & vanilla/ black pepper/baking spice combination, with the rich corn syrup & vanilla sweetness, backed by the warm oak! Crazy good at this price point!
I myself like alot of others have said in the comments have tried several bourbons over the years that were more expensive and this was surprisingly comparable but at a much lower price. Thought it was going to have to much of a burn but didn't. It goes down good neat or with a cube of ice. Definitely will be in my stock for every day drinking from now on!
This is my favorite bourbon, enjoyed neat or as in an Old Fashioned. I was drawn to it after hearing about it years ago and always have plenty on hand for myself and to share. My neighbor is a self-proclaimed "bourbon snob", stating that he only drinks the "high end" bourbons. He had never had EW BIB so I shared a pour. Not only could he not believe how good it was, he picked up a bottle for himself and me a bottle as a thank you for introducing him to this tasty bourbon. EW BIB - absolute proof that quality doesn't have to be outrageously expensive.
I'm from Sweden and I just recently found this lovely bourbon in my local liquor store and decided to try it, it was a good decision, It's really good and it's a very refreshing alternative to the way to overrated Jim Beam that seems to be the only choice when it comes to bourbon in Europe. Best bourbon I've ever had!
