Evenflo GoTime LX Booster Car Seat, Chardon Black

We've had the GoTime LX in rotation for several months now and it's earned its place as the permanent seat in our vehicle. At this price point I wasn't expecting much, but Evenflo delivered a booster that genuinely holds up to daily use without making every car trip a hassle. The fit and install are straightforward — no complicated LATCH gymnastics, just a clean belt-positioning setup that stays put. The seat itself is well-proportioned for the grade-school age range it's designed for, and my kid has never complained about comfort even on longer drives. The side wings provide good lateral support without making the seat feel cramped. Cup holders are a legitimate win here. Deep enough to actually hold a water bottle securely rather than just decorating the armrest, which is more than I can say for some pricier boosters we've used before. The armrests are at a comfortable height and the overall ergonomics feel thought through rather than just checked off. Cleaning is manageable — the cover comes off without a fight and holds up through a machine wash without warping or shrinking, which matters more than people realize until they're dealing with a juice spill at 7am. It's not the flashiest seat on the market and it won't win awards for aesthetics, but it does everything a daily booster needs to do reliably and without drama. For parents who want a dependable, no-fuss option that won't break the bank, this is a strong pick.

Sometimes I have my grandson in my car, it was easy to put together and easy to place in the car. The straps were secure to hook in seatbelt gave me a little bit of a problem, but just because I'm short and I drive a truck other than that, I think it's worth its value.

I have bought several booster seats as I have 4 children aged 8 and under and my only complaint since I have experienced with a Graco brand is that Evenflo doesn't allow you to adjust the seat. It is nice being able to move the other one up and down without forcing my kids go sit straight up.

This booster seat is a very good value and easy to assemble. the only negative, and this may be true for most boosters, is buckling into seatbelt latch can be a bit difficult. It is easy to release the latch, but because you have to reach under the side panel with cupholder, it can take a minute to latch. I know people with other boosters have a similar problem.

Soft, easy installation and light weight. Though as per law my kid only need booster seat, but this provide head support in case they fall asleep. Just it does not have any mechanism to fix it to car seat which was there with other smaller kids car seats. Bottle holder can be little larger to support more types of water bottles.

I have no idea if it will be easy to use as I will have to assemble the car seat! I can't find any information on the item that informs the buyer it is NOT preassembled... I'm very upset as I do not want to make a mistake that may cause the seat to become a safety issue. I'm a grandmother and I have never purchased a carseat that came in pieces! Had I known this I would not have bought the seat.

It's light weight, easy to carry, but it's not sturdy. The head rest I can easily squeeze together, not good for a child if a car accident happens. It's too flimsy, it doesn't stay in place in the car without the child in it and seatbelt buckled, it flips over empty.

So I got this for my daughter who is 4 and recently outgrew her forward facing harness style carseat (idk the exact name of that kind). I first looked on Amazon for booster seats but omg I couldn't believe how much they all were, the cheapest ones were almost $100. So when I checked and found this one at my local Walmart instead I was really happy because it was only $35 or $38 I can't quite remember but it was one of those lol. But once I was putting it together at home I then realized why it was so cheap :( First it was a pain to put together because you have to jam the back piece down onto the base/seat until it "clicks" into place. Well mine never made any sort of click sound at all and it felt like if you pushed harder then you'd end up snapping the back piece. Plus trying to get the cover to attach correctly was annoying because you have to pull really hard to hook the little loop and then you realize that it doesn't even align correctly ugh. But the worse part was when I had it all done and sitting on my kitchen floor, I slightly pushed on the spot about where her head would be and the whole back piece swayed/jiggled so so much way more than i am comfortable with. This is supposed to keep my child safe if we were to get into an accident, how? I don't trust this thing at all but I still have to use it until I can save up enough money to get a better one I guess. Overall I'm really mad about it because companies shouldn't be charging so much money for carseats and at the same time these companies shouldn't be allowed to sell such cheaply made ones like this! This carseat/ booster seat will not protect any child during an accident if anything it'll cause more harm since the plastic would probably snap and end up gouging the kid. This kind of plastic when it snaps it snaps off in huge dagger pieces and with how thin this is it's not going to hold up at all.

Seems fairly sturdy. The problem I have is that you cannot take the cover off to wash it. It has 1 million little hooks and straps. Super annoying super tight and I had to use a crochet hook to get the seat cover on. If you don't need to wash it, it would be great. Otherwise I don't recommend.

The back support is a little flimsy, but it's fine once you get it in the car and there's no way to not make it fall over if the seatbelt is not buckled in because it comes with no straps and the conditioning material that you have to put on yourself is hard to figure out
