Evenflo Position & Lock Value Adjustable Wood Baby Gate, Fits Openings 26 - 42 in. Wide

I ordered 2 of these and one had the wood split where the bar is attached and got worse trying to install. I sent is back for an exchange and the replacement had no problems. Just be sure to check for cracks in the wood before installing or purchase. other than that, it works well!

This was a horrible pick for me. Didn't lock in very well. we couldnt get it tight. grandbaby could just push it over. The plastic has sharp edges on it where little fingers could be injured. returned it the next day. and got one off another site.

This gate is not as pictured in all but one photo on the site. it shows the original stand by gate with the metal clamp. that is what i ordered BUT I received this crappy new fanfled plastic design that is hard to figure out and use. I wanted what was in the pictures , well 4 out of the 5 pictures. just be aware the item that you receive is not what is pictured. except for the one close up of the plastic closure. Inaccurate discription photo's.

This is a terrible %26 painful design. The sliding clip is VERY difficult to work %26 is hard on the fingers to get clasped (especially the thumb). With the old design it simply pushed down %26 clicked. NOT liking it.

Pics are not accurate! Like others, I wanted the original metal latch that was so easy to use. This new plastic slider thing is terrible, hard to use, and just sucks. Don't buy this - you will regret it. The photos are misleading bc they show the metal latch.

We used this style gate when I was a kid, to keep the dog out of rooms. Used the same design as an adult for dogs %26 later my babies. Just got a new pup %26 I didn't like the Pet Safe gate, so I decided to buy this one. One of the worst designs ever. Its almost impossible to adjust the width easily %26 it doesn't even stay up. Stop trying to fix things that aren't broke %26 go back to the original design that everyone knows %26 loves. I'll be returning this one %26 trying to find an original one at the thrift store or a garage sale

I wouldnt use this gate if it was given to me for free. it doesnt sit evenly in any doorway and the clip to lock it down is oddly spaced so u cant latch it down properly to secure it in between the doorways. Its also flimsy and will fall over if you look at it wrong. Id give this gate a negative star rating if I couls

I am used to the prior generation with a metal catch for the locking bar. This new edition of baby gates sucks. The plastic is impossible to latch. It is worthless. I am throwing this in the trash and spending more money for one with a metal latch. My advice is that you buy a used one with a metal latch or do your best to search the internet for a baby gate with the old school latch. Newer is definitely not better!!!

What a piece of junk!!! It's very very difficult to use and well for me is totally unusable. It is extremely hard but and impossible for me to even use it as the way it's made. I cannot even use it to put it inside a door frame. The only way I can use it is to lean it up against a door. It is a piece of junk is not well even flow should be ashamed for having your name on this product

I've owned this in the past and your new design sucks. It's almost impossible to lock in place. It makes no sense. I know this is called baby proof but I hate it and I spent money on three of them.
