You open their door and hear the discomfort in their little voice. You're going to need tissues, medicine, and the tired mommas best friend. . . The Evenflo® PreciseRead™ Digital Thermometer. This thermometer makes a rough night a little smoother; you can rest easy knowing you have an accurate temperature without having to touch the device to your child. This touchless thermometer can deliver accurate, reliable results in 1 second. (It literally has a 1-second reading time that may be my favorite feature!) It stores recent temperatures, so you don't have to document them in the middle of the night! It even has a large 3-color display; this feature makes it so easy for this tired mommy! You know, just how severe your childs fever is at a glance. I even use this thermometer at bath time to make sure my baby bears water is not too hot and not too cold. It's easy to use and durable. I've had 6 different thermometers and Evenflo® PreciseRead™ Digital Thermometer is by far the best quality, the most reliable, and the easiest to use. I highly recommend you get one so you can get some rest this cold and flu season.

I've had plenty of digital thermometers that would change the reading every time I double-checked and I have long looked on with jealousy each time my midwives and doctor swiftly and confidently took my temp with their medical-grade devices. This is the first digital thermometer that I've felt truly confident in. The Evenflo PreciseRead came when my family had the flu and it accurately registered the differences in our fevers. I also used this to check the temperature of my baths since I am pregnant and not supposed to take a bath hotter than 98 degrees. The intuitive design made it easy to use and it took temperatures very quickly, which is a major plus with fidgety children. I especially love that this thermometer stores previous temperatures, so you can easily monitor how an illness is progressing. That feature is a great balm for worried moms (all of us?). I also like the nighttime silent mode, which I expect will come in handy when I have a newborn in a few months. My only complaint would be that the packaging can definitely be more eco-friendly. The plastic insert with the PET symbol can be widely recycled, but the plastic bag with 4, PE-LD can only be recycled at specialist points, and I was surprised to see that the outer cardboard box (which my child immediately drew on) has no recycling symbol on it at all and was not made from recycled material. The product itself is amazing and I am very thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this thermometer in exchange for this honest review.

It is super simple to use and to program for multiple children. As an added bonus, I can use it to check the temperature of the bottle before giving it to my infant. No more questioning if the milk is too hot or not hot enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Evenflo PreciseRead digital thermometer as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it could not have come at a better time. Our previous model, which required you to swipe the unit across a forehead, had physically fallen apart. This Evenflo unit is pleasantly no contact, so a quick hover over the forehead and you have a reading. With four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) sharing one thermometer, this was a great feature I didn't know I needed. Pros: Lightweight, easy to hold No contact reading Nighttime mode with no beeping Can take the temperature of anything! Like a laser food thermometer Easy mode change Cons: One main button - having one center button with a large Power symbol is both simple and mildly misleading. It looks like it should just turn it on and off, but it also initiates the temp readings. Not a big deal but worth nothing. If complete silence is the goal, when this unit turns on it does make one single beep. I haven't found a way to avoid that. With a sick sleeping baby, it could be a difference maker! Overall this is a great unit at a great price. I would pay twice the retail value now that I have seen how simple and versatile this thing is.

We took it with us to the doctor to compare the reading with what the doctor's one said. It was the same. That gave us so much peace of mind. The kids like taking their own temperatue (although they need a little help holding it in the correct spot). They always want to know what their color was. It made it easier for us parents to see the colors and not focus so much on the number as much. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this thermometer.

I was skeptical, having tried several expensive digital thermometers in the past and been repeatedly disappointed. The Evenflo precise read touchlesss forehead thermometer works great. It truly gives a more accurate read than my other more expensive thermometer. I compared readings with several types and this was the only touchless digital that aligned with the readings from my trusty under the tongue thermometer. I also love that it can be used to test the temperature of bath water and hot beverages! What a great safety feature. I would recommend this product to any parent, and will be gifting it to my dear friend that is expecting her first baby.

I get a little confused with settings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Evenflo® PreciseRead™ Digital Thermometer in exchange for my honest review of the product on the Stellar Review Product Testing panel. This thermometer is very easy to use, with a large screen that gives quick results. You can switch between body temperature or object temperature. This is great if you want to measure food or liquid temperatures before serving them to your child, or even the water temperature of the bath. Another feature that I enjoyed is the ability to recall past temperature readings, or the option to mute the beep so it doesn't wake up a sleeping child. While I really enjoyed that the thermometer is touch free and thus more hygienic, I did not like that it needed to be held just inches away from the body to be able to capture a good reading. All in all, I would absolutely use this thermometer for every day temperature checks and I would also take it with me every time that I travel.
