These are always a good item to have just in case. No, they aren't the strongest emergency blanket in the world. No, they won't save your life if you are stranded in Antarctica. Yes, they will provide a little heat retention and a waterproof layer if used correctly. Yes, they will add a little insulation to your windows if your land lord is too cheap to winterize your rental.
I live in the desert. In the old days I would put aluminum foil in the windows to keep out the heat so my elect bill wouldn't be so high I couldn't afford food😄 It worked, but, you can't see out and I got tired of living in a cave all summer. After some thinking, I decided to try using these in my windows, and omg, the heat stays out and I can still see the world outside. 😊 My elect bill was even better.👍 These are brilliant!!!! I use double stick tape to hold them in place, and a razor knife to cut them out once they are stuck on the window. They say this summer is going to break records. Last summer we hit 120 more than once so I'm really wondering what the heck it will hit in the summer of 2026 😵 🏜🌵✌😊💜
The emergency blankets shipped quickly and well packaged. I haven't used them yet but plan on giving them to all of my family to keep for emergencies'
Hello and God bless. I bought these for giving out to people I know , to keep on hand. Just in case of a break down or away from home. They do help keep yuou warm, and good to have. Might get more for others I know.
With climate change affecting winters, I am stocking up on supplies in case we lose power. . These mylar blankets keep the heat in!
Folds up into a small package, but it's big on saving heat.In an emergency situation is a must have keep on your car at all times
Small (in package) and light weight, perfect to keep in backpack for emergencies. Good to keep several in glove box too. Nice big size when opened.
Mylar does tear easily, but I bought these for family to keep in the car in case of an emergency, can keep warm waiting for help.
I purchased them to give to Family to put in their cars and on their boat in case of an emergency. They are much much smaller than I anticipated, but they are 54” x 84” when opened up so they will cover a normal size adult. I'm hoping I never need to use one and I hope that none of them ever need to use either.
Well, the price was acceptable, but the physical thickness of each emergency blanket was only one half the thickness of other similar items that I have purchased. I was surprised at how small the folded, unopened package was (making each unit easy to store and transport); BUT that is because the Mylar plastic substrate is spider-web, thin; and may rip easily after a day of use and sleeping, also it does not seem to hold in body heat like older emergency blanket that I have used. Bottom-Line: good price but made of super-thin problematic material.
