I'm an old cook from way back, and I'm picky about knives. It slices great, chops like an expensive piece and I like how it feels in my hand. My husband and I made a bunch of homemade sauerkraut and it cut and cored big heads of cabbage like a champ. It sharpens itself when placing back into the sheath, and it looks great sitting next to my cutting board. I toss it in the top rack of the dishwasher and there's absolutely no rust. For the money, this knife is a winner and is my new “go to” tool in my kitchen.
